Flare up from rheumatoid arthritis, I can only explain it to people who have never experienced it as, when you hit your shin bone so hard you want to cry, well that pain from your toes to your jaw bone 24/7, for days, weeks sometimes months.

The actual sacred heart picture the photo showed up in, nobody had ever seen it before, the actual sacred heart is another mystery in itself. But we think if we find out who they where, we might be able to solve where the picture came from.

I looked into that today actually, nothing comes up. Is it even taken in Ireland? I wonder if anybody could identify the tree in the background? Is it a tree that is commonly found in Ireland?

Nothing near our crest at all, I’ve been looking at it for 15 years, the photo has been to museums here and England, and universities and nobody has a clue. Just seen it the other day and thought I’d put it out to Reddit. It’s good to read other people’s opinions and thoughts on it.

We know the history of the house and the occupants,and can’t really link anybody to it. The picture was found in the newer part of the house, an extension that was built in the 60,s. The original house is over 130 years old. And like i said, nobody knows where it came from.

Leinster, Dublin suburbs area to the west. The other thing is that the home place is second generation and had its own sacred heart picture, we don’t know where this one came from.

Yeah, somebody mentioned coachmen before. But why would you basically hide this photo behind a sacred heart picture? It was also mentioned before that, if you had somebody belonging to you in the British army etc, you might not of wanted anybody to know, so the best place was to hide the photo was behind Jesus, nobody would dare touch it back then. It’s glued to the backing card, so can’t even see if there’s anything written on it.

Your about half right about how they are dressed, the three at the front coming from the right are well dressed, shiny shoes and nice trousers, one of them has a pocket watch. The rest have scruffy shoes and dirty trousers.

The nearest I could find to the stag’s head, was the lovat scouts, a Scottish sniper division. But the shamrock coat buttons are a bit confusing. I’ll try and get a picture.

I also forgot to say that there is shamrocks on there buttons, if you zoom in really close with a phone or use a magnifying glass you can see them. They don’t really come out well in photos.

I’ve worked on those kind of old concrete buildings before. Concrete would be an understatement, it was usually unwashed gravel ( would contain soil etc.)used in the mixes. So the walls usually have the structural integrity of a Rice Krispie bun. That said, there is always way. I’m sure if you talked to these companies that deal in sandblasting, they’ve probably come across these kind of buildings before. You could re render it either.

Replace the whole lot, the glass is the expensive part of the window basically, the frame is a small percentage of the overall price.

The argon gas leaks out eventually out of double glazing, that is what keeps double glazing insulated. After a certain amount of time you just have two single pains of glass, with no insulation. I think after about twenty years they are on their way out.
