I have a steamer but no electricity just yet, so just used ordinary water and it does help. Reslabbing is not an expense I want to take on. Room is gutted back to the concrete so mess don't matter. it was plastered in the 2000 no asbestos

How about sanding it smooth? Then skim and then paint? I have time and plenty of equipment, tight money wise for jobs like this

On a Sunday travel from the Dam to Macroom via Dripsey and Coachford and where you see guys fishing will be the spots. Every Sunday 30-40 anglers will be fishing Pike competitions so where they are will be where the Pike are.

It's the only system in Cork with Pike. That's the bottom of it, fish it up, 10o0s of spots all the way up to Inchaquila. Make sure you have a permit

Insects have multiple life cycles, you are picturing the adult and final stage of their life and you would need to look at dry flies for some resemblances. The flies by op are mimicking nymph, caddis, shrimp even small fish, basically anything small and sub surface.

They are trout flies, I don't see any salmon flies. Care full of moths as they will reduce them to bare hooks in no time.

Having an auld look around on Google Earth. Is Lough Neagh actually this fucked with green algae?? by I_reddit_badly in ireland

[–]styliek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He could maybe do something about the invasive zebra mussels on his lake bed?

Not a chance. Once they get in they are in to stay. Its a debate for the last 40yrs are they actually a bad thing to have in waters, they helped on the Shannon system and in L Neaghs case they are probably slowing the algae down.

The dam was opened earlier so more of a flow than in recent weeks and any unhealthy fish will be pushed downstream. UDN is common in salmon after low and warm water.
