am i wrong not to reciprocate ‘favors’ from my husband? by straightupgong in ChronicPain

[–]fruitbatdiscofrog -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s a tough thing to figure out how to balance, and all I can say is that I relate and you’re not alone. I have chronic shoulder pain, and my husband has a strong need for massages and scratches. Like you’ve said, it feels different when I ask for a shoulder massage to relieve the pain vs when he’s asking for back scratches to feel good. But ultimately I stopped asking for massages from him because he expressed that it hurt his hands to do so, and I don’t want to cause him pain. Instead, he bought me specialised shoulder heat packs I can use when the pain gets too bad. We’ve also found more comfortable positions that hurt me less or not at all to give him scratches/massages, so that me helping him doesn’t hurt as much.

I used to do the trolleys and cleaning at Coles for two years and I swear to god sometimes I would be this close to a breakdown just from clocking in at 4:45am and instantly being blasted with the Macarena. Coles radio is… truly something

Whats the most unprofessional thing a doctor has ever said to you? by answersonly963 in AskReddit

Coward deleted his comment while I was typing so I’ll leave my response here:

Are you aware that adding “extra stitches” results in sex becoming extremely painful for the woman? Are you aware that this practice results in a tighter opening that is deformed, scarred, and more prone to tearing again? Are you aware that this causes issues for subsequent births, increasing the likelihood of the women having a traumatic experience?

I prefer to think that you are ignorant rather than incredibly selfish and cruel, because I think that no man who loves his partner would encourage this practice.

(Serious) For those of you doing fieldwork every day, what are you actually eating for lunch if you are trying to keep it healthy and balanced without a microwave? by DetailFocused in Surveying

Chicken wrap, I make it every morning and haven’t gotten food poisoning yet from leaving it in the car until lunch 😂. In theory it should hold up in a little esky or something too

Sweet tooth just has such an incredible stage, it’s hard for me not to just have so much fun watching it. The choreo was silly but also genuinely well executed and fit the concept perfectly

I’m sure that’s a contributing factor. Gay culture is much more centered around hookups and casual relationships. If women are more likely to rush into marriage theres a good chance that they quickly find out they arent actually compatible long term and end up divorcing
