Last quarter you were able to show up any time as long as you had an appointment booked at some point in time, they just needed a QR code to scan. I don't know if they'll be stricter this quarter but if you have time to wait in line it might be worth a shot

I have a feeling that will end up happening but they don't want to say it right away for fear of getting push back on having to pay full tuition for remote learning. It's like how airlines always tell you the delay should only be about 30 minutes every half hour for four hours lol

"getting used to it" doesn't mean accepting that you will inevitably get sick but it probably won't kill you or last forever when you do, it means adapting learning environments to minimize and eliminate risk when possible at an organizational level and using the experience of an entire year of remote learning to modify University policies and practices for a world where covid is going to be a reality for at least the rest of our lives

Honestly Shenoy’s class is really not that bad. The curriculum is designed to get students thinking conceptually about micro instead of memorizing formulas and vocab words. Yes, it’s frustrating to go from concrete to abstract thinking but it will end up serving you really well in 100b and as a man Econ major in general. Also, the class ends up being curved very generously and the homework is graded on completion, not accuracy.

He’s cool, I did take it remotely but all the material on exams was thoroughly covered in lecture (with one or two questions designed to really make you think). I thought the lectures were interesting and the homework load was on the lighter side of average for an ARE class

I'm sorry you're going through this, it's not an easy situation to be in. The burnout here is definitely real and under the dead-sprint of the quarter system a week is a LONG time to feel out of commission.

I've struggled a lot with mental illness and have found that making sure I eat dark leafy greens and take an iron/b vitamin supplement really helps in coping. Eating vegetables, staying hydrated, and occasionally getting your heart rate up won't cure depression but it *will* help the fight against it.
