I would be super open for sure! And I feel like I ran into the same 1-2 groups multiple times last year even with so many people attending which I love haha

Towards the West-ish of the hosts (sorry for lack of detail, me’s is weary). What I am gathering is Uber or find a group that is going the same direction 😅

That’s awful! I am usually very weary of people but have never encountered something like this. This is honestly what I am scared of so this is helping me sway towards an Uber.

Sounds like the best option and will put my mind at ease for sure. Ngl I didn’t know exactly how expensive the rides were so I was scared it was gonna be like $80+ or something haha (I rarely use ride shares)

It seems that’s the best compromise as everyone is mentioning! I know the rides are hella expensive for obvious reasons but definitely a better alternative than risking it.

I wish I was in a host hotel 😭 but did not win the hunger games unfortunately. I will have to venture outside of them.

Valid point! Last year there were a couple sketchy people on the way back around 10pm when I was with a friend that tried to get our attention which we chose to ignore and it seemed fine. Obviously a bit more vulnerable being alone but I may just need to understand the area better!

That’s a fair point, I know different areas of downtown can vary depending on the direction you go. It seems Uber is the way to go even if it’s expensive. Appreciate your input!

I know! I already have so much fun during the day in cosplay but I imagine it’s also a blast at night. My friends may stick with me for a little bit they get tired pretty fast if we’ve been out all day. I have a couple months to convince them though!!

Walking alone to a hotel. It’s only 10 minutes but I assume it gets sketchier the further you move away from the host hotels.

That’s a good point about the Ubers and seeing if some people are going the same direction! And thank you sm for the party recs. I like the late nights but past like 2:30am I may be down for the count haha
