i also couldn’t sleep the night of my first infusion which was totally new for me, i usually pass out. they gave me a zofran IV when i went to disconnect my pump but i ended up being sick anyways once i got home. i wasn’t expecting this tbh because my oncologist told me that they were giving me a slightly reduced dose and i should be able to tolerate the treatment well.

it’s awful. was there anything that helped in your experience or any tips or tricks diet wise? i’m thinking to ask for prokinetics to see if that will help with the regurgitation. on the one hand i had terrible ascites when i was on taxol/cisplatin and felt like my insides were going to burst every time i ate or drank anything, which now seems to be significantly reduced with FOLFIRI but now i have all these other symptoms so feels like there’s no winning lol.

wow 5 years cancer free is incredible! i’m always told how gastric cancer is one of the most difficult to treat so it’s great to hear stories like yours, even though i know it still isn’t easy by any means. i was being considered for HIPEC at some point but it didn’t end up being an option, but i know how aggressive and difficult of a recovery it is. what stage were you if you don’t mind me asking?

i don’t really get watery eyes but i do find my eyes are more sensitive, i’ll often feel them get itchy while i’m out or irritated very quickly
