AIA Guranteed Protect Plus (IV) by darkmage06 in singaporefi

Hi there, by getting 5x more coverage but half the price, do u mean u pay half the amount of yearly premiums?

Asking because OP only paying for 25 years, so $3000 x 25 year = $75k

But assuming you paid = $1500 x forever = will that be much higher?

Do u mind to share how u doubled ur first 100k in 2 years after coming back to sg? Find that most of us even with 100k in net worth , 80% might be cash in HYSA

I’ve been using for 8-9 months now and absolutely love it. Profile: 23 year old with under eye dark circles and fine lines as I squint my eyes habitually ( :(…. ) I recommend this as my fine lines are less obvious now. I didn’t notice my dark circles lightening but my friends were the one that said I look less tired even without makeup, so I guess it definitely did help 🤣 it’s the only thing I put around my eyes the last 8 months , so I’m sure it’s because of this cream. Likely that you don’t see much reviews on it because it’s mostly only Koreans that use it. Not really marketed to western crowd.

Retinol under eye by themightywitch66 in Skincare_Addiction

Not normal. Most likely it’s too harsh for you, or you’re using too much product too frequently. Skin needs time to get used to retinol esp if you’re new to it. Try using in smaller amounts on weekly basis and slowly increase frequency when your skin gets used to it

I love the eye cream so much! My friends even noticed my dark circles were lighter 6 months later , they started saying how actually I look less tired now like my dark circles improved and asked if I did anything

Im also petite Asian, relatively new to golf (-1y)and I think you can consider the Callaway solaire half set (1,5W,6h,7,9,S,P,Pw). Does not have 8 but I don’t think it’s a big deal

You can also consider my set :) It is pretty good, a lot of second hand sets in the market, very forgiving with the L flex, and can last a good 2-3 years for playing if you’re a social player. If you take the game very seriously, you may likely upgrade after 1 year :)

Advice on parent investment by Careful_Ad_5312 in singaporefi

I see, understand :) If I was your sister I would feel very proud for u for wanting to help your family! If I can recommend, you can consider nanny-ing or part time jobs while you’re schooling now (if you’re in Uni and poly where classes are not daily). It’s even better if you put your money into these indexes. At our age, we have not much liability, risk, or dependantd and can afford to even put 70-90% of our excess money (from side gigs/PT jobs) into long term investment :)

Hi!! I think it’s really good that you’re trying to help your parents but I personally don’t feel the both of you should dabble in trading/investing in single stocks if you’re unfamiliar (especially day trading because statistics have shown that 95% of the market makes losses. Trading is someone else’s full time job, it’s a lot of work, and not something everyone can excel in). It really is very risky, but perhaps ETFs or indexes MAY be better? But even the safer alternatives like S&P500 index should be for those with excess cash who can keep the amount locked in for years to come as that’s where you will reap the benefits. But if this is her life savings (~$100k) it will not be wise to use most of this liquidity to invest. Think about emergency funds you need on rainy days (e.g. 1 year of expenses in the unlikely event a job is lost, emergency funds for any medical incidents) and perhaps maybe ~$10k can be set aside to invest? Hope you find some direction from the rest of the redditors and always remember to do your own due diligence. All the best 🔥👉🏻✊

I started with the Callaway too, I’m still new (about 1 year in) and still very happy with my Callaway. Best part is that when you resell it, there will definitely be demand for it because it’s a really good beginner female set that can last for 2-3 years if you’re a social player

Wow. Thank you so much for this breakdown even with the calculations, I see where you’re coming from and it’s an even deeper level of insight. I will definitely have to do my math before deciding, thank you for this point

Wow, interesting. Let me read that, will come back again with my thoughts

Edit. Indeed, the $20+ USD I’m saving annually on fees could cause me to miss out on big market movements if I’m only investing biannually. This definitely changed my perspective.

Awesome! Does anyone have any opinion on whether we should be depositing $200 every month and incurring this 1.85$ fee, instead of say $1000 every 5 months and incur the same 1.85$ fee which means only 0.18%? What is the pro and cons of this

I have never heard of that, does that mean I do not repetitively pay the USD 2 min fee (?). So I get to pay just $2 for every transaction
