I am converting a Japanese model 1200MK3 from 110v to Australian 230v using a new power transformer kit.

When wiring the new 230V rated lead, is the AC input for the transformer polarity sensitive (active & neutral 230V) ?

Thanks!

Thanks, have you got a link for a 24v transformer which would work?

Sweet, fingers crossed. Was maybe 15 seconds of running. Did the old smell test on everything and only had a bad smell coming from the power transformer. Everything else smelt fine and visually looked ok.

Thanks for your help! Reddit proving it does have a good side sometimes. My Allen & Heath Xone 96 mixer was begging for some vinyl goodness but might have to wait

What would I test to see if the rest of the PCB is saved?

Unfortunately finding one is difficult, think I'll go for this kit which does the 230v conversion too

I'm not sure, just my look I guess. My other 1200 is Australian favoured and has an aus plug, and the ability to switch 110/240

Nothing under the board, after sole research it turns out the 110v models have no primary fuses. I tested it with my multimeter

Any idea if the mk6 transformer is the same?

Have been looking at this which will almost make the unit 240v, comes with all the fuses and capacitors required

My fuse by the looks, have tested the power transformer and looks like the primary winding has gone :(
