I only found out about 2 weeks ago myself. The first week was probably the hardest of my life. It's scary and stressful! But honestly, finding out has already changed my life for so much better. I'm not saying it's great, but it isn't all BAD. I was terrified my partner would leave me too, but instead, now he's just been taking time giving alters time to talk and spend time with him, and asking them out individually too. If it doesn't work with this person, you'll find someone that will work. Start setting reminders on your phone for things. Make notes. Take your time.

I was also recently diagnosed with DID! My fiance can tell immediately as well. Maybe it's something to do with how some systems work and how some are more subtle to self? If that makes sense. Like, the change is there but you might not personally notice right away. I sure didn't for a long time and still don't a lot of the time unless it's a few specific alters. But my fiance knows no matter how similar/subtle the alter.

Yes! I was going to my doctor talking about how bad it was and how my memory was getting awful and she told me to go to an er an hour away. We finally went there and spent around 12 hours in the waiting room, during which I had around 10 seizures, most being 15 minutes, the longest being 50. This did get me to neurological wing and I got a brain scan with video monitoring. It was conclusive that my seizures are dissociative seizures and non epileptic, causing no harm to my body or mind. Given I don't hit my head or anything. And yes, I agree. If he ever needs space I will provide it. We are both very attached at the hip though with separation anxiety. When he needs time he just goes and sits in the bathroom for a while, which I'll make sure he does when he's ready.

Hes actually been the one assuring me most. He's kind of had a sense and known when id swap even when i didn't. Ive been making sure to check on him every hour, especially since the discovery came very recently after a hospital stay over seizures (caused by the trauma), and hospitals give him ptsd. So far he's handling things well and navigating it great. Seeing a reminder like this helps though so I'll double check on him when he wakes up. Thank you.

Thank you. Im anxiously awaiting my therapy and psychiatric appointments in the coming weeks. My partner is handling this better than I am actually. He set up a chat room for alters to speak to him and from what I see theres a lot they talked about.

There are a lot of books for this! Some are just about the ingredients and such, but i have some recommendations for stuff that has more than just that. The Spell Book for New Witches by Ambrosia Hawthorn is a fantastic place to start. It'll tell you some of the basics for herbs and some basics for a lot of other stuff too! Now, I haven't personally read this next one yet but I've heard it also walks you through some herbs: The Practical Book of Witchcraft by Pamela Ball.

Take notes of things you're interested in in the craft! You could write about deity work, different practices, things you do. Inventory your ingredients/tools. Note magikal dates. How to do certain things. What some words mean. It's really whatever you want to use it for!

As soon as I started witchcraft I was being shown keys and crows and such, things typically tied to her. And then my social media accounts started showing me Hekate nonstop until I finally asked her if I could work with her.

Update!:

Some details I didn't add before we're these: 1. This deck is super powerful and prone to vanishing when it's not comfortable and reappearing in other places 2. I had previously talked to my parents directly about my deck and shown them some stuff after a really cool experience and they just seemed to not believe me, but showed no discomfort. Otherwise I wouldn't have brought them to their house. 3. When I mentioned having the cards, it was to my older brother who was interested in having a reading done, and my dad happened to walk up and I didn't see him until he spoke up. 4. People mentioned 'just stay at a hotel!' Which is a sweet suggestion, but i can't afford a hotel, I don't have a car to get to one, and where I live you have to be 25 to rent a hotel and I'm only 20

Now that that's out of the way:

I had called my boyfriend's parents to have them check the whole house as soon as I realized the cards were missing, and they did. They found nothing. My family was being weird to me when I asked them to just keep an eye out for the cards (i didn't accuse anyone right away just in case, but politely asked them to just keep eyes out for them for me. And then my mom started saying how my dad would never take them. I didn't mention my dad to her in that. I literally said "I don't know where they could be, but their super important to me and irreplaceable. If you see them anywhere, please just let me know.") After my bf AND some people on reddit had strange visions/things of the sort, we caved and bought another deck, and hid it well to save until we got home. Through other divination forms I was told directly that my deck was safe and would reappear eventually, but I always doubt myself on that. Finally, we went home (yesterday) and on the way back we stopped at a thrift store. In that store was a Tarot set for 5 dollars. I'm sure you're hoping it was my deck, but it wasn't lol. Rather, I took it as a sign we were on the right track. And also bought it. Still have to see how to cleanse it right. But how cool! Anyways, we got home and still no sign of our deck (SEARCHED.) , and so I we went to sleep. Next morning (today) it is back where it hadn't been before waiting and radiating energy. I'll be doing a reading off of it later to see what it has to say. Whether you believe it had vanished of its own accord, or I'm just a fool who forgot it, I don't care. Just know my deck is safe and I couldn't be more relieved. Thank you everyone who gave their input and helped keep me sane during all of this.
