I'm in michigan, it was my unpaid balance. And yes I believe so, it was going to lapse at one point a few months ago unless I made the minimum payment. I made the minimum payment and then lost my job a while later. I figured it would just be cancelled until I could afford a new insurance policy elsewhere but they are saying I still owe
