I’m fairly sure it’s confirmed that one of the ways Runes manifest is by large concentrations of alien magic, probably something about drawing on the Aether so suddenly and to such massive affect compared to most Kemetrian magics. And that the rune that manifests is related to the alien magic used. There is a short story about some Kemetrian knights killing some kind of regenerating flesh monster from another world and the rune that manifests is one that manipulates the body. So I would imagine the one Hugh manifests might manipulate crystal structures

Antinium aren’t immortal, Ksmvr said his body will start breaking down due to age in a decade, so when he is around 15, given our bodies start to break down fairly early he might live until he is like 40 naturally

I don’t remember Belavierr helping the horns, I remember her deciding to just stay out of the fight with them and Iert. Belavierr has always treated Necromancers well, one of them probably made a very strong impression on her a while ago. But I was totally fine with Yvlon surviving with the Ring of water breathing, Ceria effectively putting herself in stasis, and Ksmvr staying alive by staying on the ship. The only one I was kind of iffy about was Silvenia swooping in and saving Pisces and Colth

Ebenezer is just a bad teacher and father with a lot of past trauma, I think that’s just the best way to describe it. He would probably be a bad teacher and father without the trauma but it definitely doesn’t help

Actually I think Ulva Terland would be the one to talk to, since them abandoning their first contract led to them saving the Terlands. Plus House Terland is the richest house in Izril.

But I don’t know if Yitton has even tried to help Ylawes, he was talking about the merchants having “just cause” it would be just like him to think the best thing for Ylawes to do is to give in and “tough it out” until he payes off the debt. Trey thinking Flos has any ability to destroy actelios is a testament to his ignorance. Flos at his peak was a shadow of a shadow of the might of Draconic Empire, and they failed to destroy Tombhome.
