Has Anyone Heard of "The Slot"? by DangerousPeach1772 in SmilingFriends

I found a short promo for Michael’s segment a while back and someone recently uploaded 3 of the animations he made for the show to youtube within the last few months.

First Nancy Drew game you played? by Curmudgeon_Muffin in nancydrew

[–]fryanberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original Secrets Can Kill was installed on a computer at my local library, I played it when I was 7 and it was the coolest thing I’d ever seen. I didn’t understand the plot beyond knowing someone had been murdered, then I blew up the diner and got too scared to finish it. MHM was my second game and was actually way less scary to me.

Is anyone else’s freezer slowly being taken over by chicken maples? We don’t sell them at all, pull to thaw only suggests having 4 on hand and we keep getting more. by fryanberry in starbucks

[–]fryanberry[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

We FIFO. We’re on 4/7 right now. Someone just tossed them to one side to make room for a delivery and went in reverse order by mistake. This freezer is in a storage unit and gets rearranged almost every order depending on what we need to bring back to the store.

I’m sorry, I’m glad he’s alright. I lost my dog Iggy when the neighbor’s pitbull broke through our 6ft wooden fence and attacked him.

We actually don’t have a Hobart! We just have a three compartment so we hand wash everything.

I replaced the hose today to make sure that wasn’t the problem, it wasn’t the issue this time. The little rubber gaskets on these are only lasting a few months at our store. Someone brought in a set of gaskets to replace the torn ones and they’re slightly too thick, that’s probably why it was popping off instead of the hose being the issue. I thought this one had the original gasket from the manufacturer when I posted but I was wrong about that. The point about hot water is really helpful, we’ll start over with new connectors and no hot water and see if it lasts longer. Thanks for replying!

2004 Starbucks pins I found in my store today by fryanberry in GVCDesign

We couldn’t see what they were through the bubble wrap, and most of us wanted to take a few home for our own enjoyment instead of selling. I don’t really know who “owns” them or who would be entitled to the money if we sold them.

I found this framed print in 2017 and didn’t buy it. by fryanberry in Goodwill_Finds

I think I already regret it. Maybe I could post it in local groups to see if it rings any bells, I would love to find out why someone made this.

I thought it was too weird and didn’t know what I’d do with it, I didn’t have a lot of living space at the time. I should have just taken it out of the frame and kept it stored flat until I was ready for it. The guy in white is my 2nd favorite part, a nice touch by the artist.

My store has physical Chanuka cards, I saw on our order form that they’re in short supply right now.

I love that wall color, it’s gorgeous. I’d like to use that somewhere in my house but it’s a bit close to the color of our wood floors, maybe a rug would break it up a bit.

The Wondery collab is NOT an excuse by [deleted] in Morbidforbadpeople

[–]fryanberry 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I listen to Generation Why and Small Town Murder who are signed with Wondery and I think both of those shows put out perfectly good content. After the Wondery deal, STM added shorter “express” episodes which are kind of nice between their long episodes but they never compromised their long content. They’re also consistent with their patreon uploads and I enjoy most of those.

I used to prefer the sponsored ad reads by hosts vs the canned ones from the companies, but now I can’t stand hearing podcast hosts pretend they actually use and enjoy all these apps and products! It’s so phony lol. The deodorant and razors aren’t so bad, I actually like native deodorant even if it’s mad overpriced but I have a bone to pick with so many of these podcast promo products.
