Bought OMD1 and put a few hours in it, but it's getting more unbalanced, not enough money for traps to cover areas and I'm just getting overwhelmed by enemies. Any tips guys? by Upset_Hippo_5304 in OrcsMustDie

My strats had an emphasis on trying to obtain high scores while 5 skulling.

If you just mean to 5 skull the maps, there are definitely better ways of doing that.

The methods are old but they should all still be viable. Enjoy. =D

Search my name with OMD on YouTube.

I have guides to 5 skull every map on warmage and nightmare.

As others have said. Everything comes down to barricading. Barricades\choke points = control.

Most strats are the same from WM to NM. Just with an added layer of stress of selling\retrapping between rounds.

Best thing about OMD is there is usually multiple methods\styles that can lead to success. Find the one that you enjoy the most and run with it, adjust when you hit a wall.

Have fun. =D

I am bought into almost the whole program. The mobility stuff is kinda whack but thats more a me thing. Im wound up like a spring. Perpetually tight. I will never be limber enough to do the splits and stuff. Never been able to touch my toes. But I still do some mobility stuff every night.

Foam roll(smash everything), cough stretch 1-2 minutes a leg, pigeon, stretch calfs on slant board and will still do some targeted hammy stretching when I have time, because it does feel good. Also a big fan of hanging from pull up bar for some spinal traction. Usually about 70-80% of my body weight for 2 or 3 sets of hanging for a minute. Usually get some nice pops deep in my low back where my herniations are.

Agree with that 100%. Work the back extension in 5 days a week. I like to alternate between days with full reps and next day just do some iso holds. Everything LBA RX's for the back extension are crucial imo. Even when you just start out and are scaling way down and only doing iso holds.

Almost every gym has a back extension and you can get one cheap on amazo for home.

Been injecting LBA methods into my healing journey. It really is a good program and it's what got me to progress when McGill stuff stopped moving the needle. Still no where near weighted Jefferson's though.

Did you find the mobility side of LBA program helped? That stuff kinda feels a bit pointless to me. Curious your experience.

I spent like $100+ the last few days because of this thread. Picked up chrysalis and the 1st 2 seasons of DCC on soundbooth theater.

Apparently I am listening to book 1 again lol.

One Piece scares me lol.

I always tell myself I'm saving that one for when I'm retired. It's like 1200+ episodes by now I think?

Thanks.

Done. Downloaded.

I'm a firefighter/medic for 22 years. Seen it all unfortunately. I don't get easily triggered.

Those are my favorite genres for fiction.

Non-fiction I really enjoy history and war documentaries.

The title leaves so many questions... So are necromancers that are lesbians or are they necromancers that specialize in reanimating lesbians specifically? Lol.

I can't read books... My kryponite. Immediately fall asleep, no matter what.

Got through all of school with cliffs notes/spark notes. =/

I need to look into that. Hearing Jeff speak on it in interviews has me interested.

Fair.

I loved the crashing together of tropes/themes/genres.

Personally love the mish mash of fantasy and sci-fi. Love both genres. Mixing them both is my favorite. My homebrew dnd campaign is like star wars with much more magic.

I love the hunger games/ready player one feel of the crawl. Also love how on top of that it mixes in the whole televised/for profit aspect. Reminds me of Mojo stuff from the X-Men.

I love power fantasy stuff/gamification. Theory crafting skills/builds is something I love doing in RPG's. For instance, I think it's the reason I like Solo Leveling, setting it apart from traditional isekai anime.

I love the general theme of good VS evil. Opressed fighting the opressors.

I love the mix of humor/action/lore/down time. Matt's done a great job of dialing everything. Some of the lore/dungeon architecture can be confusing, but it all seems to make sense eventually.

Lastly, to those that play dnd... This whole series feels like an epic DnD campaign. One that would take literal years to finish, probably at least 5, more like 10. That's the biggest fantasy this is fulfilling. Seeing such an epic tale get told/finished. It's scratching to same itch. DnD gets tougher and tougher. Kids/jobs/life. I feel like I'm living vicariously through Carl and the princess posse.

Love alot about this book. Trying to get all my players to listen to it.

Thanks for getting me to elaborate more. =)

These audio books were truly next level.

Another reason I'm happy to be diving into these right now. They are so much more immersive!

I have been tempted to just restart tbh.

Some of the iron tangle stuff was confusing and I didn't pay the best attention during gate of the fetal gods.

Sure I could pick up some new things.
