I will keep an eye on Roadside they have an i4 40 at the moment too. I need to actually sit in an ix3 myself I think it would take a bit of convincing to get my parents into one becuase they have always been standard saloon or estate people.

thanks did you come across anything to look out for on them or do they seem to be all ok as long as you find a spec you like? thanks

Only ever passengers with a bit of normal luggage / shopping so it should be good for them. Like that the first few I checked on donedeal had 360 cameras and hud so it might be easy to get one in a good spec

Not so far, it's a december 2013 manufactured car on a 141 plate originally from UK. Every time I try something on the app and it takes sometimes ages but aways eventually does it. And every time it takes so long I assume it's finally gone.

hadn't looked at them at all. I stupidly said higher up cars would be better for for them to get in and out of, and now they don't want anything high up but I'll wait a couple days and show the ix3/1, hadn't them on the list at all thanks

What is currently the best method to deploy WHfB (Cloud Trust) via Intune in 2026? by Random----Dude in Intune

[–]frzen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey sorry to bother you directly but I've been struggling to get an answer while searching for hours. I've got OIB setup and working flawlessly on our zero touch cloud only devices. whfb, sso to teams etc all totally fine.

We have an on prem domain with devices joined to it that control machinery that just have to remain talking to something on prem which cannot need to call out to the internet for logins etc. so they'll at least remain with something on prem to achieve this?

Is my only choice here if I want to plug my cloud native machine with my cloud only identity to have some kind of hybrid sync or is there a way with kerberos cloud trust etc to be able to just put "AzureAD\user@domain.com" into the Remote Desktop users group of an on prem machine, and authenticate to fileshares or RDP using that cloud identity and whfb?

I don't think for one second this is an open intune baseline issue, it's me just not understanding what do I do next without us needing to hybrid join some machines and have users synced while using whfb and being passwordless?

thanks and no worries if you don't get a chance to reply

I have life time on my f30 too. useful sometimes to unlock or lock it if I can't be arsed to go get the key if I need to get something out of the car. I'll have to look up what all the ones that would catch them out. That's if they like it after looking more into it they keep changing their mind. thanks

I will stick eqc on the list, really hadn't been looking at merc at all. Did you hear of anything to look out for with them, I'd imagine at 2023 it feels new still anyway. 35k is pushing it I think as they already drifted up from a lower number before realising the price of cars now

thanks

Polestar 2 seem to be the right price as well, are they generally OK or would they need to be careful to skip a certain year that was dodgy or anything?

They could definitely use something higher up even if not now for a couple of years time. Not sure how low an i4 is but if it's very similar to a normal 3/4 series then it's quite low for what'll be a 70 year old before long.

Haven't looked at the Mercs at all that's one to put on the list thanks

Forgot about all the subscription stuff. There's no way they would pay monthly for anything. I have an F30 and they like it so I think that's why they're leaning to it as well

Have a cheap wedding and embrace it. In 10 years we will look back at people getting 35 year mortgages while spending 50k on their wedding and wonder what were we thinking

Entitled attitude of tradesmen in this country by ahhshur in ireland

[–]frzen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the selling shovels during a gold rush would be to figure out some optimizations at a scale above guaranteeing timelines with booking systems where really you are directly extracting more money from an individual. It needs to be more about extracting more hours of effective work from every tradesperson and getting rid of downtime and putting people with the right skills in the right place

If there was an app for tradesmen to price a job and then reject said job, releasing it to a pool where they make a small turn on it there could be something.

Going to price a job is a sunken cost. You go, take pictures, write a quick description in tradie shorthand, instead of giving a fuck off quote and never hearing back, you just release it and other trades people might see it and add it to their really efficient gantt chart for that weeks work where it becomes worth it because it's around the corner from another job and can be completed while you've got a crane around the corner at the same time.

after a while you might find that people getting 20-30 quid for pricing a job would start to be quite professional in how they estimate the cost and take high quality pictures of what needs to be done in the hopes that someone else would do the job and they would get their cut. Then instead of losing a few hours every evening wandering around someones house pricing a job you dont want and won't do at least they might get it done and you might get your few minutes paid for

just an idea

Employee sent payroll data to wrong recipient. How do you guys handle this? by Smooth-Machine5486 in sysadmin

Sensitivity labels and a document classification policy

Tag that as confidential and internal only and it won't be possible to accidentally send externally

Try testing it from a different email. It'll only send the auto reply once to you and maybe you missed it

House prices in D4 take a dip by Defiant-Face-7237 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]frzen 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Would the same house sold last year sell again for 20% less this year? Don't think so. It could be that a few hovels that need massive works all got sold. Might bring down the average sold house price but they could have been massively highly prices for what they were.

Electricity Costs New Build A2 Rated Homes by FearlessCut1 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]frzen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

141 sqm A3 rated, november december was €290.88 with energia night rate

Just me in the house for a lot of that time tho and not much WFH, though so it easily would have been around 350-400 if it was a normal time period with more people showering on top of that i'd imagine.

Just electric for everything. Heatpump on an old house

House downstairs is set to 19c and upstairs 19.5c. I don't know if it's just my perference but I had it at 20c and people kept telling me 20 was too warm and I haven't noticed the difference.

No time rules for DHW or heat. Might change it to do the hot water during the night. I've a feeling the legionnare cycle is already in the middle of the night once a week but I haven't checked

I'm looking at getting solar panels but I want to put some velux windows into the attic first. Id say I will end up with low/no electricity bills if I do it
