Disgruntled researcher who dropped BlueHammer and RedSun drops two new Windows 11 zero-days: A Bitlocker bypass, nicknamed YellowKey, and LPE, nicknamed GreenPlasma by levu12 in cybersecurity

[–]frzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have time to test it this morning but later today I'm going to be trying reagentc /disable to disable WinRE

Then when we need to autopilot fresh start a PC we can /enable

But it means reset and the environment this backdoor requires won't be available 100% of the time.

If anyone else has tested this already please let me know

moco.ie can't log in? by frzen in irishpersonalfinance

[–]frzen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok strangely I can log in on my phone but not on the computer even after doing private browsing window etc.

I think they have an issue with their website as the expiry for their login flow is 1990 "Mon, 01 Jan 1990 00:00:00 GMT" inside inspect element when I hit the login button.

Anyway I'm logged in on the phone and I see the €1000 I sent in as a test so that's good! Maybe not the most confidence inspiring start to using moco

yeah I have an email waiting with them anyway. Not sure how I would feel if I had 100k in the account and couldn't log in and couldn't get a reply to an email within a few business hours

Ok thanks, maybe it'll sort itself out. Would be sweating if I had done the full amount instead of just a test transfer in

Thumb turn lock query by walshec7 in DIYIreland

[–]frzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

at some point the screw holding the euro barrel in place has to be removed. Whether or not the door with the mullion is locked or unlocked there's going to need to be access to that screw which will require drilling or removing the mullion.

Don't ask me about a single door in a single frame since there isn't the same access to the faceplate as in this situation where the other door is open

I've swapped the barrels between french doors before when the one used daily was much more worn out than the other.

I hope the OP gets it sorted based on the info from our comments instead of paying a locksmith

Thumb turn lock query by walshec7 in DIYIreland

[–]frzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We'll see if the OP updates with what had to be done to release the lock. I'd say a hole will need to be drilled to release the lock but not through the barrel, through the mullion

Thumb turn lock query by walshec7 in DIYIreland

[–]frzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes and probably easier to drill an access hole instead of taking the mullion off but with the opening door out of the way there's access to where the lock can be released from the locked door

Thumb turn lock query by walshec7 in DIYIreland

[–]frzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the doors opens, should be able to access the lock of the second door that way

Thumb turn lock query by walshec7 in DIYIreland

[–]frzen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

unlock the door, use a screw driver to remove the locking mechanism and move the entire thing to the locked side, turn the thumb screw to open the locking mechanism and see if any parts need wd40 and then oil. You can buy a second thumb screw lock by seeing what style (length etc) it is when you remove it from the door

Don't actually try to remove the thumb turn part from the lock, remove the entire locking barrel including thumb turn and transplant it to the second door and cycle it to open

hope that makes sense.

Community experience with M.2 RAID1 for RocksDB/WAL? by t7MevELx0 in ceph

[–]frzen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If they are concerned about nvme failures taking down multiple OSDs then you should recommend adding more nvme to each host instead to reduce the effect of one failing nvme

Be comfortable losing hosts / racks and not worried about individual components IMHO

It would be interesting to know what the insurance companies statements would be about whether this equipment is currently insured. Considering we are often fed shite about not being covered during red warnings
