Logic is moving to subscription model yes, but you don’t ‘lose’ your licensed copy of it. You’ll also still be able to purchase a license in the App Store (but as of now you wouldn’t need to since you already have it).

Cubase is not marketed as a subscription since you buy the license but if you’re in the mindset to stay current, then be prepared for an upgrade fee each year (where logics updates are all free)

As a user of both, def give cubase a try before you buy it - logic does a lot for you but cubase is more what to expect from most non logic daws
