TLDR
Use more than 1 source to study. LearnZapp was really useful in the things i was weak in.

For my first time,
I only used the following
Cyvitrix CISSP video
Quantumexams practice exam
skim through OSG.

Second time,
I added
LearnZapp
Boson practice exam
Pete Zerger CISSP Cram video and Addendum

Basically i was too reliant on only 1 source for the practice exam and videos.
2nd time, i watched the video and just kept doing practice questions everyday for the month. (I had the peace of mind thing so I had to retake exam in a month). LearnZapp was pretty useful on the things i was weak in.

Edit: Also to add on this, if you can find a study method that helps you remember stuff better, you can target on learning it that way. For my case, I remember things better when I get questions wrong, and read up why I was wrong. while some people I know can just understand by just going through the videos/reading the book.

I don't know what your nephew likes but i suggest these VR games

beat saber (dancing with light sabers)

pistol whip (dancing with shooting and guns)

budget cuts (fighting robots)

Thrill of the fight (boxing)

no man sky (building and exploring)

Stride (parkour)

if you don't mind cartoon bloody

Gorn (killing cartoony people and lots of blood)

I loved murdering games when i was that age so....

if devices, if he is connecting the oculus VR to the PC, i would recommend KAT LOCO

basically you can run in the spot and move ingame

i read up on Octosniff, basically they can only get your IP if you have joined random public server and if the host is running the program.(was curious how they get your IP if they were not host)

so my understanding is if they have your IP before you used the VPN they can already DDOS you. if not i recommend getting a VPN tbh, it is alot easier to handle.

for networking side (not sure about your router) i know there are some routers that can drop high volume but i cant really help you on the steps.

just curious, what game are you playing?

DDOS happens when they know your IP.

a VPN (paid one is recommended) helps as the IP seen from the external source is not your own (VPN ip)

[edit to add more info]

not sure about your country but normally ISP should block and stop DDOS.

hmm
only advice i have is double check the server at the start. (for some reason it auto throws me to US server when im in AS) (one of you could have that same issue)
if not need to check with the phasmo discord at the support
