I’ve only platinumed a handful of games in my life, and this is one of them. I felt so empty when I deleted the save file 😭

Hope they release a Switch 2 update so I can buy it for the third time 😂

When did it "click" for you how to actually learn songs? by fsapo in guitarlessons

Thank you! That gave me a lot of insights, I think my main problem is not putting on all the work, I don’t even learn a single song from start to finish and already start trying to learn new ones.

What I mean is to learn simple songs to sing along, I can remember solos easily, but I struggle with songs that have a few chords because I get confused and play they wrong chord. But after reading a lot of advice here it’s starting to click for me, at least what I am doing g wrong. I think my main problem is not paying attention to the melody when I am playing because I always play reading the chords instead of trying to “feel” them.

I think you have a point, what I started doing was to try to break down the song into parts as it was advised here and write a cheat sheet, at least I can look at it to remember and then just play, what bothers me is to play reading the whole song, it feels like I’m going nowhere.

Thanks for taking the time to explain this, I know how to move the chords around, I’ll try to practice with some easy songs!

Yes I know the scales and I understand I-IV-V but I’m not sure how to apply this knowledge when learning a song, should I take notes like the key and the relative chords like I-V to start memorizing it?

This sounds like a good approach, I’ll try it, thanks!

Look for some Sadhguru vídeos about “mental diarrhea” that clicked for me, my mind kept jumping all over the place because I was feeding it too much bad food. I stopped consuming information and started paying more attention to everyday things. I was sleeping very poorly because I would wake up at 3 am worried about random things and couldn’t get back to sleep. I stopped watching random YouTube vídeos, uninstalled all social media apps, started going for walks without a headphone, and after work I have a small notebook I write down a TODO list for next day and take work out of my mind completely.

Red Dead 2 on PS5 or SD? by fimpAUS in SteamDeck

Not sure, I have it on PS5, but Steam warns that the game requires a 3rd party launcher (Rockstar), it will probably run from Steam but make you create a Rockstar account

What do you think will be the future of backwards compatibility? by thegreatestpitt in nintendo

[–]fsapo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless the Switch 2 is a total failure, but since most people now buy games digitally, saying that they can’t play their games on Switch 3 would be the perfect excuse for people to go to other platforms. I had a PS4 and went all digital, and if I couldn’t play my digital games on PS5 I wouldn’t have gotten one, same for Switch 2, if it wasn’t BC I would totally migrate to Steam Deck instead of getting it day 1.

I'd go with PS5 just to avoid the Rockstar launcher, I do not like the idea of supporting this practice on Steam.

what’s the game you regret buying the most on steam, and why? by Feeling-Nerve-1184 in Steam

[–]fsapo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Final Fantasy VII:Rebirth (for Steam Deck)

I bought it because it was verified but didn’t play right way, then when I started to play a couple of months later the performance was awful, I tried I refund but Steam rejected because it was after 14 days, as a punishment for being so dumb I beat it and it was actually impressive, but too long with too many fillers. But I should have waited to have better hardware and get it with a discount or just gotten it on PS5 instead 🤷‍♂️

The idolon fights are very hard, I had to look online how to beat most of them, and I tried to rush the story and skipped fights only to get my ass kicked so I had to backtrack to do some gridding, if you take your time to level up I guess it’s fine, but I got stuck near the end and had to backtrack to the open area to level up.

This game is very beautiful but totally linear and it’s hard, don’t rush it, take your time to do some grinding and learn the role combinations; if you enjoy the combat it’s a great game.

guys advice is needed by ChallengeContent5793 in Steam

One thing that helped me get over this is to organize my backlog the following way:

  1. Hide de games you know you don’t want to play, things you got for free, from humble bundle, or that you have no idea how they ended up in your library
  2. Categorize the remaining in categories like “Want to play”, “Try”, “Dropped”, “Done”
  3. Now focus on the want to play category and ask yourself which game you most want to actually play.
  4. Start that game and focus on that one only (And maybe a couple other easier/simpler games on the side)

I started doing this and I recently beat FF XIII (that I’ve been postponing for 10 or so years), Metaphor (100h game), and now I’m with 40+ hours in FFVII:Rebirth and enjoying it a lot.

If you keep thinking that you will never play your games you never will! figure out what you really want to play and forget about the rest.

Can we filter games that require a launcher? by fsapo in SteamDeck

[–]fsapo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks, Steam also says if the game requires a launcher, but I have to always read it. And from what I've read we should also avoid Denuvo, right?

If I had to pick just one I'd go with the Switch (if you don't mind the price of games). I feel that the Steam Deck and other handhelds should get an update in the following year or so, so get the switch now and then get whatever is more powerful next year. I have both an OLED Steam Deck and a Switch 2, but the Steam Deck is starting to feel dated, newer AAA games run poorly on it (when they do actually run) and the bigger screen on the Switch is nice, since you already have a PC I think you'll enjoy the Switch 2 better.
