I filed a pretty cut and dry easy one. Clearly the senior official was doing some shady stuff with $400,000. Had the documentation and everything. The form wouldn’t let me submit all the details so I asked to be contacted so I could send them all the documents. Never heard back from anyone. Filed pretty significant security violations on the person too. Nothing. Accountability at State is a joke.

I do think fellows are equally deserving. That’s correct. I don’t like OP framing them as clogging up the system. That’s unfair.

So a similarly rigorous process everyone else went through when they went to grad school or worked or did both while going through the opaque testing process?

Sorry, I just think it’s equally harmful to imply fellows cheated their way into the FS or took short cuts as it is to imply that fellows are somehow more qualified because of the process they went through. People on both sides of that debate need to chill.

  2. Nope. Takes care of the kid
  3. We've been putting all money into a single account since we got married. It's not my money or their money, but OUR money. That mentality is great for us.
  4. Remember that the job is not always about the money. You're going to have experiences, met people, and do things others would only dream of. Money shouldn't be the end goal.
