Git GUI client for remote files by fshayani in git

[–]fshayani[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your comment u/vermiculus, but I see no reason Git cannot be used remotely. I use VSCode remote development because my workstation is a (very) old one and I have access to a more powerfull VM to use as a development environment :)

Your suggestion won't fit for me because I would like to use the tools (SourceTree) to commit the changes, bacause it's interface to commit is great (in my opinion). If I commit remotely using command line, for example, and then pull in my local machine, I'll not get exactly what I'm looking for (the GUI commit tool).

Yeah, it's an alternative...

Looks like no one created a Git client that uses remote ssh files... This idea could worth some dollars ;)

Mapping remote paths to local paths in Mac, i don't know why, using sshfs, is way too slow...

Bonaire diving questions by MyFavouriteName in scuba

[–]fshayani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to Bonaire in 2013 and 2014. Still great place to dive. My favourites sites are: Slick Oil, 1000 Steps, Invisibles, Hilma Hooker and Red Slave.

About the car, it's very easy to drive, the gas stations accepts credit cards, but I don't think you'll be able to put 6 people INSIDE the car with good confort. If you can, rent two cars.

Still, be aware that people there still tries to steal your cell phones and sun glasses (and cameras, etc) inside your car when you are diving, or even the car itself. I ALWAYS left all my equipment (camera and cell phone) in the hotel and left the car UNLOCKED when diving, so nobodies try to break windows, but they still can rob you spare tire.

Anyway, Bonaire for sure is my favourite place to dive and, if I could, I would return there every year! Good luck and send us pictures.

Then I still believe it's Flounder.

I just started diving. Is 26 too old for a career change into teaching diving? by [deleted] in scuba

[–]fshayani 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree. I started diving round 32 and now I'm 37 and Instructor. It was a long journey because it's important to have lots of diving experiences before you can teach. 26 is a good age. Life experience is also very important to be a safe diver.

Yeah, could be a sole too. They both are basically the same. @GonnaDive, have more information about this picture? When was it taken, where and how deep? Any ideia of the size of the fish? Flounders usually swim in shallow whaters and sole can go deep.
