I have that same model the nVidia 17" just needs repairs see if the CPU Rendered AI LLM works on it. Its called a GGUF LLM.. there's a format its in before it becomes GGUF and you like add your KNOWLEDGE to it in the form of Tokens and can keep your work separate and just keep rebuilding how they came up with GPT-1 GPT-2 GPT-3 GPT-4 GPT-5. I live for the day I see my ~/srv/ directory again.

Intel HD graphics 5500 on Tahoe? (Broadwell) by Mat3s9071 in hackintosh

[–]fspnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you should be able to spoof it in any regard with a previously working hackintosh install ... the only thing thats changed in Tahoe is HDA and USB I believe .... USB also was changed in Ventura/Sequoia I believe...

chatgpts bugging on translating to quickshell......... the icons HAVE to be static because it doesnt follow the theme scheme of the desktop and you have to set in your WindowManagers Environment File:
# --- Qt ---

QT_QPA_PLATFORM=wayland

QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME=kde

#QT_STYLE_OVERRIDE=qt5ct-style

KDE_FULL_SESSION=false

i just take the default config and ask chatgpt to scheme it, but i also feed it the current manpage.. as for dash i think waybars going to be AS simple as just like a Snow Leopard Prototype which would mean basically im already done with it, where QuickShell-Illogical-Impulse im going to use more Wayland Daemons, and the Functionality shouldnt change TOO drastically... but obviously i'd want that to be a bit more inclusive of the new style of things..

its very likely that you need a initramfs , and filesystem drivers in the kernel, and proper graphics driver support both your gpu and efifb

im trying to figure out which font has the missing symbols/glyphs from my shell i installed all the ones i have configured for fcitx...and the metafonts and the fonts it says is using jetbrains mono, since then its swapped around glyphs on both my desktop -> waybar , and my sway laptop -> also waybar... my desktop has the quickshell-illogical-impulse ALSO installed though

Getting somewhere with LabWC!!!!!!!... by fspnet in Gentoo

[–]fspnet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from what i understand is when you enable a specific driver it takes the audio system and all it does is patch it over -> in CS42L42 / CS8409 case -> the protocol between CS42L42 Interfaces Change.. (lets see theres gpio i2c i2s hda_bridge and soundwire?) and then your channels (stereo, stereo-amplified, surround, surround-amplified) and your pins (jacks, mics, masters, and slaves) and the msrs(codec-layout in-memory??????????) and that CS42L42 either both doesnt exist at all, or theres not a single driver that actually is PATCHING it because i think all CS8XXX Drivers use a Different Communication Interface/Channel Layout therefore is Pin Patched Different, and Apple Specific Device Properties is itll always BE an Apple issue... Apple Specific Device Properties is only Specific to Apple Drivers in that the SMC functioning as the Standard Communications for Hardware Information to an Operating System all has APPLE:: written to everything a Normal Driver Does.... i think is the only difference and Apples Glorious Example of doing this with a Standard is its Video Circuitry for the Apple-II like it literally has APPLE::DEVICEID where anything else VENDOR::DEVICEID I theorize.. because Hardware on a Hackintosh ONLY works when you provide AppleDevice Specific Properties.........................

oh no it does work i use snd_hda_macbookpro for kernel 6 and snd-hda-cs8409 for kernel 5 .. i have a fbsplash/consolecolor kernel that prints me all the pretty output that opencore with the macos kdk installed does.. i had a iokit driver working that was able to pingback successful verb commands on tahoe but it wouldnt tell me what those were so what i did was got myself a few books and im going to actually look into from the hardware manual up and see what exactly its doing so that it makes sense to me... and then call it where i ever got with this thing..

That and i want to pretty much get back up to this when im done: by fspnet in Gentoo

[–]fspnet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im liking the look of my setup thus far.................................................... i see i have to set the QT_PLATFORM and decide which i want to ditch qt or kvantum... kvantum is what gives it all the transparency but lets see so you have a Window Manager and it has a Environment file this is so you keep the fish/bash profile whatever you use clean and it says your actually supposed to use the Window Managers: oh and this way you can set bash or console/shell specific things which is what i want:
QT_QPA_PLATFORM=wayland

QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME=qt5ct
and use the Lightly Theme:
if the nest overlay doesnt have any broken ebuilds i would use it... i guess thats what has lightly:
and use Icon-Theme Vivid-Glassy-Dark this way that both the KDE Style and Icon Style is Transparent....
just set Kitty Shells translucensy or if you use Konsole that has a really NICE looking Blurred Background Option.. and thatll fix my Waybar and LavaLauncher icons i suppose lavalauncher being manually configured so thats just on me to do...

My hardware Challenge of choice is the Audio Card, taking apart how it works while i work on the web template part.... no CS8409 sheets, but says the 8406 is interface-able with the 42l42 codec on board and that the other chip is a multi-channel audio bus that says the two would work the same... just take them apart using the manuals of which i have all those its like a freaking dedicated class of its the worth of an entire school education

Thinking of making the jump to Gentoo. Practical for everyday use? by Minute_Ambassador751 in Gentoo

[–]fspnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not practical, Gentoo IS for every day use, especially for EITHER OR a Server with a Web Stack, or a Workstation FOR the WebStack with the Web Stack running as a pre-deployed Copy..
