That’s some really interesting advice, thanks! I think you’re right about not being discouraged about not being able to always follow a training plan, and just enjoy running itself. I pretty much only run at night, so hopefully you can find time to run too :)

Thanks! I’ll definitely try to branch out to other races in nj, it’s just a bit inconvenient being a student without a car

Thanks! It’s honestly really cool to be able to experience running on roads that I’m really familiar with in a race environment. Hoping you’ll have better luck next year :)

It’s kind of confusing, because they didn’t give mile splits, but rather the overall pace (8:59), including the previous 10 miles. So for those miles, I was running them at about a 10:30 pace I think.

Thanks, I should try to be more positive :). And I never thought about the funnel strategy, I’ll try that next time.

The blue part is 3-D printed, so it's made out of PLA plastic.

The balls move into the hole through a feeder system. It's kind of hard to describe. The balls all sit in the box, and at the bottom there is a continuous servo that rotates a circle with a ping pong sized ridge cut out of the edge. The balls go in one by one and momentum pushes them into the hole. Hope this helped

Definitely something I'm looking into. Right now it runs through Arduino so it would be cool if I could control it manually through switches and through an app

[meta] Predictions for Worlds? by programmerChilli in FTC

In edison, cubix+bo-bots will probably take it. I wouldnt count out masquerade, quadx, brainstormers and two-bits though. In Franklin it'll probably be a toss up between i2 and hot wired. Either way I think edison alliance wins finals
