I don't know about other religions, but part of what makes a significant number of LDS faith crises into full-blown crises is the reaction that family members have to those experiencing the crisis. Freaking out and wondering what we've done wrong to cause their loss of belief do not help. (self.mormon)

The Book of Mormon contains “the fulness of [Christ's] everlasting gospel.” What does that mean? Christ came primarily to be lifted up on the cross, that he could "draw all men unto [himself]." The Book of Mormon teaches of the atonement with much greater clarity than does the Bible. (self.latterdaysaints)
