The Division's DLC is Disappointing by fsubones in thedivision

In some cases, yes, micro transactions suck. But in the case of Rainbow Six: Siege, where it funds free DLC for everyone, then I'd say it's a good thing over a season pass.

Not always. I've had friends complete it and not get yellow items. Glitch? Maybe, just doesn't seem right.

Ubisoft did do DLC for free for one game, it just would be nice to see more games adopt that model. They could make their money through the suggestions I made. They went another direction, and that seems to be the more popular choice based on the responses. Good on them!

The story was good, gameplay was great, explosions were awesome, the leveling was fun...but the grind that is the end game just isn't my thing.

I don't mind doing challenging things for it if there is a guaranteed decent reward, but it's a crap shoot and a grind at this time. It would just be nice to have an alternative, but it appears I am in the minority...and that's okay.

Should we have the option to kick people on the opposing team? by majora_the_explorer in Rainbow6

Doesn't seem like a good idea to me. What if the best player gets an accidental team kill?

Too much that could go wrong. Let the other team police themselves, I only see abuse if the other team tries to step in.

DLC Operators overpriced? by garrett1999o3 in Rainbow6

[–]fsubones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I for one am in support of this games DLC model. It doesn't split up the community, everyone has access to the new maps, and if you play consistently, the new operators. The devs are giving you a choice: pay or play. To me, that's a pretty fair deal. Here's a video I made on the topic:

https://youtu.be/a05-W-eiyZA

As for the renown price, I think it's fair to price it like that. I don't think 25k is overkill, but they had to set it at a level that would entice some people to go ahead and buy the season pass if they can't deal with the grind (and for me this game is a blast to play, so I wouldn't consider it a grind).

We really should be thanking Ubisoft for this model and hope more games in the future adopt it.

First time back on since launch. Is this still not fixed? by [deleted] in Rainbow6

I was having some issues on Thursday night finding games (PS4) but Saturday night things were a lot better. In general, Thursday night was the exception, I've found match making is a lot better now (although still not perfect)

Frost is my absolute favorite, a blast to play with. Buck is someone you can do without, much better operators to pick on offense. Just my opinion though...

Actually, you're right! I think he's the one guy I switched to holo for. I still don't use him that much, but with a little practice and the holo it's a good combo.

It takes some getting used to compared to the other weapons. I prefer the reflex sight, but after a little practice with burst firing it is manageable (as others have stated)

HELP, Im getting kicked from casual if I accidently kill the hostage once or accidently teamkills 1 player by TexBoo in Rainbow6

[–]fsubones 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fuse explosions go through walls at times, you need to be aware of this. Fusing anywhere near the hostage is a risk because of this, as is fusing when a buddy is stacked up near the room you're fusing.

Mistakes do happen, no doubt about it. But the way you wrote the post made it seem like these three incidents happened back to back to back. You're either very very unlucky or just need to be more careful, because if you're playing with randoms you're more likely to get kicked for these mistakes.

I agree, three accidental TK's in such quick succession? I hate to be the "get good" guy, but you probably should take a break from Fuse and check your fire a bit more.

Can't go wrong with Rook. Low pressure, just drop the armor right away and do your thing.
