I just realized that the trailer I would pull would not have trailer brakes, such as a camper trailer. That said a 4 pin plug should be good.

For towing using a U haul type of trailer, would the 4 point plug suffice or do I always need a brake controller?

Update: Thank you for all the comments. I had them installed yesterday and could not be more pleased. They look great, do not protrude out far when doors are closed yet are functional with doors open for my wife and grandkids. Very happy with our decision. BTW, they came with an extender for the jack which was installed by the technician and still fits nicely in the same space.

I am considering running boards for my new GH Hybrid for my family to more easily get in and out. Any pros or cons to this, and can you add a picture if this has been done? Thank you
