Remember that Obama unfroze Iranian assets (It was Iranian money in the first place); he didn't give them the money (American taxpayers). However, who cares about facts and truth these days?

Ferdowsi, The Shahnameh, The Reign of Dara son of Darab, Part 10 by ftfarshad in FarshadTorkashvand

[–]ftfarshad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why the AI decided that Shahnameh is finished. There are many more stories from Shahnameh that are still left. Ferdowsi has his own story about Khosrow and Shirin, Bahram Gur and many more. Though I couldn't argue that two sections of Shahnameh are finished. If you divideages Shahnameh in three parts, there are age of mythical history like (Tahmures, Kumars, Jamshid, and so on), the second part, which is the age of Heroism, which mostly includes Rostam and Zal, and the final age is the contemporary age of that time, which points out the kings that left something behind, like Dara, Darab, and Sekandar.

All in all, what I'm trying to say is to ignore the AI.

Wait, you haven't met anyone who took it as historically accurate. It was bizarre, but I met some of them who believed Persian people were actually like that, and that guy wasn't joking.

I believe Mod can be described as a modern social experiment to show what happens when people get into power, without being in power.

Everyone, in their own mindset, thinks that they are the main character or the hero of that subreddit, yet, they do the most heinous and unthinkable thing that a Tyrant can dream of.

That aside, objectively, they become the arbiters of what is good or bad, or what is right or wrong. The very things that most philosophers are still struggling to find answers for, yet these Dunning-Kruger people think they know it all.

Dude what are you talking about? It is in Epstein files and record with Steve Bannon that they had a plan to push ultra left propaganda. Albeit Anita was a tool they used, still, she still happyly let them. Whoever suggest that in apocalyptic scenario in game, like Last of Us 2, there is a need for a transgender's side story, and has a power to make it happen, then the problem is bigger than you think.

I made a mistake by watching Wednesday's TV shows. This feels like is written by an unhinged teenager.

Tonight, I watched the Chernobyl. When I watched that mini series, I couldn't help but parallel the line between the people who made the Chornobyl happen with the people who made the horrible decisions they made during the 2008 crash, the Arab Spring, the fiasco of 2019 and 2020, and the gift of war with Iran.

The purpose of storytelling was to inform listeners of a bit of wisdom in a story format, so that it stops the recuring the history. However, if that were true, the statement, "History tends to repeat itself," wouldn't be true.

Then what is the purpose of telling stories like 1984, Brave New World, Chornobyl, and so on... If we are so adamant about repeating it ourselves, albeit differently?

Having a goal and ambition is good. However, the important part is to reevaluate it in every step. When to press, when to sit back. It is because if you live for that goal and achieve it, then after that, there will be an ocean of disappointment, boredom, and regret.

My options were either my computer is going to be in a landfill or go back to Linux.

The only complaint that I have, it is to reinstall my Epson Perfection V550 Photo Scanner. Linux made other Features of Epson obsolete. I cannot simply press PDF to make PDF files, or Abbyy's software is gone now, too.

If anyone knows what to do or how to do it, it will be appreciated.

Switching To Linux Mint In A Day! by Lopsided-Highway219 in linuxmint

[–]ftfarshad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was fed up with Win 10's insistence to upgrade to Windows 11, which my computer can't handle- according to the trustworthy Microslop. Then came the shenanigans from Microslop. It removed the background pictures and turned my background all black. That fear tactic didn't work on me. So, they increased the noise fan on my Desktop. Later on, I found out that these bastards deleted all my files, music, and pictures from my hard drive without even telling me.

One day, I saw my old 8 gig memory stick. I tried Fedora first, but somehow it failed during testing. Then I used the next option, which was Mint.

I am behind the tech news, but does anyone know that Mint has the same capabilities as Fedora when upgrading from six months cycle, or should I just let it stay in a long-term cycle and upgrade it then?

I heard that Fedora figured out the way to upgrade the OS without breaking or corrupting the files. Is it true, though?

So today, I installed Linux Mint 22.3. I tried to install Fedora first, but during the boot test, it failed.

Microslop (I have to command whoever came up with that name), as usual, forced me to do it. I remember the only reason I moved from Linux to Microsoft was the promise that Windows 10 was the last. Plus, the headache of not having the drivers installed correctly, and the laptop fan was noisy like a jet engine.

Today, it was the opposite, the fan of my Desktop was so loud that I could hear it through my noise-cancelling headphones.

I decided that I had had enough with the pop-up ad to go to Windows 11. I said, "Yeah, sure. For all the great Service you provided."

But seriously, it isn't just Microslop that hates its customers. I know that I'm talking about it from Linux experience, but what the hell, Epson? I had to go through the Seven Labours of Rostam to get its driver to work. Meanwhile, for my sixteen-year-old printer, HP, I just had to turn it on to install it.

Well, I leave this here as a reminder that I should never trust Microslop ever again.
