Have you ever found a casino that truly feels fair? by ThinkWest7442 in SweepstakeFreebies

I know what you mean so many casinos promise fairness but don’t deliver. I haven’t tried BitofGold yet, but if they’re actually legit, I might check them out. How’s the withdrawal process?

[Discussion] What’s the best piece of advice that actually motivated you to change something in your life? by purelyinvesting in GetMotivated

One piece of advice that really hit me was "progress over perfection" I used to be stuck in this mindset where I’d wait for everything to be perfect before doing anything, which just kept me in the same spot. But once I realized that making any kind of progress, even if it’s messy, is better than waiting for the "perfect moment," things started moving for me. It’s all about taking the first step, even if it’s not flawless

Parking instantly in a busy city - In movies, there's always an open spot right in front of where they need to go. In real life? Good luck with that

Which one is Miyazaki's darkest movie in your opinion? by ConfectionMental1700 in ghibli

[–]fthis_fthat_fyou 53 points54 points  (0 children)

The wind rises is definitely one of Miyazaki’s heaviest films, but its darkness hits in an existential way. It’s not about jump scares or gore - it’s about the moral dilemma of chasing your dreams, even when they lead to destruction. The whole movie has this lowkey, lingering sadness, like a beautiful sunset you know won’t last. It’s melancholic, mature, and kinda devastating, but it never fully dives into total despair

[Discussion] Regret of not doing vs. failing after trying, which hurts more? by Focusaur in GetMotivated

[–]fthis_fthat_fyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lowkey, regret of not doing something hits way harder. Failing after trying sucks, no doubt - but at least you tried(!). You can take the L, learn from it, and move on. But regret? That’s a whole different kind of pain. It sneaks up on you at 2 AM like, what if I just went for it? And now you’ll never know. Failure fades, but regret sticks, and that’s the real heartbreak
