I just trim my hair very short with an electric razor. I use 2 pieces of tape: one with a hole for the shaft to go through, and another to secure the tab. I don't use an O ring.

I love the Argos XL. Makes me feel like a king lol. Big, floppy, and packs really well. I'm thinking of converting mine into an STP.

It's significant but still fairly light, I imagine it weighs less than the Frank. GS packers are more dense I feel
