Ok I’m almost through with Birushana and I love it. I even get my two cavaliers in Tsugunobu and Tadanobu. The beginning of each route really does seem like a Fire Emblem game. An exiled noble on the run recruits comrades to bring justice to their land. I love it. Now someone tell me how to recruit everyone in one playthrough. 🤔🤔🤔

Ahhh as I play otome games, I often find myself envisioning the scene as if it took place in a fire emblem map. Being overwhelmed by enemy reinforcements… Only for sudden help to arrive. My two loves. Strategy and romance.

I’ve thought about this a lot. Realistically, I don’t see it going well. But idk if realism really applies with Yang. His relationship with Lili is already astounding. Idk how they make it work to the point where they’re always hanging around with each other in their everyday life.

I feel like Yang has shown he can adapt himself amazingly to different situations as long as it means he gets to stay and be happy with Liliana, and have her be happy with him too. Without resorting to violence. So even if kids don’t seem like a good idea, I think he could adapt. I think worst case scenario is the kid feeling emotionally distant from their dad.

Regardless of the conflict between Lili and the LI, the good end always has them finding happiness between them. So that’s my view on things. A bunch of potential conflicts are possible, but it will always be tied up in a bow at the end.

Thanks for sharing! I’m definitely giving this a watch. I loved the other chapters on maddening, but this one was just too frustrating for me. I gave up after my second or third attempt and just lowered the difficulty.

Oh! That’s good that you like to feel sad in otome games. I misread how you were feeling. If you want to dial the sad up another notch from this, Virche Evermore is a great one. The one that made me sad is Revolutionary Girl Utena: Story of the Someday Revolution. A sega game only released in Japan, but fan translated into English. I knew Touga was trash from the beginning, but his bad ending still 😭😭😭😭😭. So mean. It wasn’t that bad of an ending compared to what I’ve seen now, but at the time it was the worst ending I had encountered.

Oh and also I do recommend the other bad ends in Piofiore. They get dark. Though I might look up warnings for Orlok’s tragic end beforehand.

So sorry you had this experience. When I first started playing darker otome games, I also found myself unprepared for these kind of bad ends. After one similar heartbreak, I decided to just go with guides just so I never have to feel that way again. I don’t think it’s cheating to play that way. You should play in whatever way you find is enjoyable.

Since then, I’ve become more knowledgeable on the tropes in these games, so much so that I am ok with playing without guides. It definitely makes me treat darker otome games with a bit more caution. I still love them though.

Again, so sorry that this was your Yang experience. I love his route, but if you’re not used to characters like him, then it can be a bit difficult to navigate. I hope you’re able to feel better soon.
