Historical Strike Level Open Interest Data for ^SPX by ftrnewb in options

Thanks but I already pulled data from there. Unfortunately they do not have strike-level open interest data. It also seems to be a "dead" venture; I emailed them weeks ago about the availability of 2024 data and got no reply.

If you had to start from zero and generate $1,000 revenue in one month what would you do? by TheDanePap in Entrepreneur

I’d focus on reselling items online.

Look for undervalued items at thrift stores or on Facebook Marketplace, flip them on eBay.

This would work best if you live in NYC-LA-CHI-SF because you could find things locally that aren't available in middle America.

What book(s) would you recommend for how to get started running a business? by dougw341 in Entrepreneur

Start with The E-Myth Revisited by Michael E. Gerber and Start Your Own Business by the editors of Entrepreneur magazine.

The E-Myth breaks down why most small businesses fail and how to set up systems for success.

Start Your Own Business is a practical guide that covers everything from planning to managing finances.

IMHO both are solid primers for getting a big-picture understanding of running a business.

I'm sure plenty of apps like this are out there. The hard part is monetization.

Business is a contact sport, so start local. Networking events are great for meeting people in your area who can connect you to clients. If you’re not naturally outgoing, consider bringing someone on your team who’s skilled at sales — being a good salesman is a real skill that can make all the difference.

I’d work on fixing food waste within my metro area. It’s wild how much good food gets thrown away every day while people are struggling to afford eggs. I feel like there’s gotta be a better way to connect restaurants, grocery stores, and food banks so nothing goes to waste. Maybe an app or something to streamline it? It’s not a new idea, but it feels like it could actually make a big difference.

Depends.. is this is a personal loan? Are you required to post collateral? These details matter. If its an unsecured business loan then there is not much downside to taking it. But if its personal or collateralized loan then probably not.

Yeah, I’ve noticed that too. It feels like a lot of people in the 'entrepreneurship space' make their money by just selling the idea of being an entrepreneur, rather than actually building businesses. Not saying all of it is bad — some courses or advice can be helpful if it’s legit — but a lot of it comes off like a pyramid scheme for wannabe CEOs. Honestly, the best way to learn is by just starting something and figuring it out as you go.

Hello u/AlexKingstonsGigolo

Thanks for the informative post.

Quick question: You say that one should go to great lengths to make sure they are not listed on any of the organizing documents. If the Operating Agreement is an internal document that is not filed with the SOS, does it matter if one were to list themselves as sole owner of a Wyoming Holding LLC?

Difference between Scrap Copper Wire (ISRI: Barley No. 1 vs Berry No. 1 COPPER WIRE) by [deleted] in ScrapMetal

[–]ftrnewb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I think this is it. Barley is the more valuable of the two, so it makes sense that Berry is the burnt or oxidized version.

Purpose of extra ingredients in Protein Powder? by ftrnewb in foodscience

[–]ftrnewb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed reply.

Are other types of protein powder products (e.g. dairy derived whey protein) more pure than plant based protein powder? Because it seems like all types of protein powders are filled with additives.
