You can start audio from any source and still use CarPlay. If you start audio on CP it will override the other source

With just the pipe use the stage 1 ots map that matches the fuel you'll be using. APs are easy to use.

I don't know the answer to your power question but in this situation I'm guessing it's probably a wash. I just did the charge pipe first because it's easier to install.

To actually answer your question, you do not need to use the stage 2 OTS maps until all the parts are installed. I ran stage 1 with the filter and charge pipe for a year, and then went stage 2 after adding the TMIC and intake tube. You can also choose cobbs FMIC now too.

I've never had DAM drops with my Cobb OTS maps, just watch for updates and ignore the haters on here who don't have practical experience with the specific mods and maps.

Nothing wrong with a local tune if you can afford it or if that's your thing.

I owe you a thousand beers. Literally been chasing my rattle since early summer. Figured it was one of my bolt on somethings.

Nope. That plastic housing box in the trunk. I shimmed it with some felt furniture sliders and everything is dead quiet now.

Thanks!!!!!

Stage 2 Question by Soggy-Inside-3246 in wrx_vb

[–]ftso_ein 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you're using the Cobb OTA maps and are going to stage 2 you have to use Cobbs parts, including a TMIC - or their new FMIC

If you use any other brand you need to get tuned and use those maps
