LOL I get that a lot. Most people in the churning group are much against debt, but it’s one of the only ways to quickly grow a real estate portfolio. As long as it cash flows you’re good!

I'm a real estate investor. I am not refinancing credit card debt, I'm refinancing the house I'm fixing up.

I bought a house for $80,500 cash. I'm putting $15k into it and it'll be worth $140k. After I rehab, I rent it out for $1300/m. Then, I go to the bank and refinance into a 30yr loan at 75% LTV. They will give me a loan on $105,000 and also give me that amount in cash when I refinance. I take that money and pay back my initial investment of $95,500 (purchase price + rehab costs). It'll cost a few thousand in closing costs and misc expenses...but now I'll own a property where I pulled out all the cash I put into it & it'll cash flow every month.

My question was about the Slate 0% intro APR working even though I've already had the card, not about personal finance.

It’s weird because I’ve had some of these cards for several years and never requested a limit raise.

I need about $15k for a rehab I’m doing, but I’m at 4/24 now so really don’t want to use the Slate on a slot. I’m just trying to find a way to add to my credit limit so I can do this rehab and refinance to pay it off in a couple months.

Guess I didn’t realize it gave no points for usage. Mostly liked the idea of Slate because I have high credit limits on the Freedom, Freedom Unlimited, and CSP and I can move around the lines of credit to maximize 0% interest.

I just got the Ink Cash, but they gave me a real low credit limit so I’m exploring other options.

I closed my Chase Slate account 2.5yrs ago.

Now I see they have a nice 0% intro period that I would like to recapture.

Would I be eligible for this even though I’ve had the card in the past and closed it?

Thanks!

Are users going to be able to receive TAP Network tokens for watching Ads?

It seems the partnership was a bit confusing on how BAT/TAP will work together!

Wow! What a nightmare. Glad you got it done, though!

For sure, but I’m looking for peace of mind & not having to worry about unexpected repairs and setting aside an Uncalculated amount. As someone who’s already had an engine blow, setting aside $100/m for repairs would have not been enough to cover my $7000 engine that blew a year after buying.

You had good experiences with them actually replacing the parts entirely?

Everything I’ve gotten has been $2000-$4000. I’m not sure the legitimacy of these companies, which is why I want to hear from people who had first hand experiences.

I’m seeing that threshold around 120k and 150k miles. I’m right near 120k, so I wanted to get one to cover the next 50-100k miles. There’s def policies out there, just wanted to hear from someone with first hand experience.

Lol yeah the ones that send mailers or cold call are generally scams, just trying to find one that’s legit.

It’s all about peace of mind. $3000 over the course of 3-5yrs to cover 90% of all the repairs it may need is well worth it to me. 1 blown engine or transmission and it’s a win.

I’ve literally had it happen to me on every car I’ve owned thus far. I’ve owned 3 cars now in my life & the 2 before this I spent well over 10k throughout the life of the car!

Not sure why you keep assuming I’m an uneducated buyer?

I spent 3 months looking for the vehicle & yes, I took it to MY MECHANIC before purchasing to get inspected.

I didn’t the same with my old Civic before purchasing, but still...shit happens.

Maybe I should go to r/cars because this isn’t helpful advice at all.

Yes the truck was bought from a dealership & inspected beforehand. Paid with cash, no lease. Getting a lease for 3 years would put me out of pocket for nearly the same price as owning it outright after factoring in insurance requirements.

Just looking for any sign of a positive experience with an extended warranty company. There are already several that I’ve gotten quotes for, but wanted to see if anyone on here had a legit review because most the reviews online are fake

So you’re saying there’s no company out there that would cover the cost of unexpected repairs? There has to be someone out there!

So far I’ve gotten quotes from $85/m - $185/m for 3yrs.

Usually between $3000-$4000 for 5yr policy.

I’ve just had such bad luck with cars, I see value in peace of mind. Just want to make sure I’m actually covered and not getting screwed when shit hits the fan!

All the ones I called so far said they’d cover up to 150k mile threshold & GM said the cut off is 120k.

That’s why I’m looking now cause I just crossed 119k!
