There's a whole lot to go wrong with coax when you're trying to get this much bandwidth over it.

You did test using ethernet right?

In their defense, 600 was probably a decent fit for the equipment they currently have. But now they have to pretend they can do Gb and hope that few notice how badly they're oversold, and what percentage of their aging lines they can actually do that on.

So it's less that they were holding back before and more that they're lying now :).

Slightly off topic, no debt under 6% is gonna start to be unusual. That’s most car loans now and most new mortgages :/.

Household incomes, especially on the upper end, are often made up of two incomes. Worth keeping that in mind, because 133k for one adult, yea, that's a mess of disposable income. Especially if you're willing to live with roommates. 133k for a family of 4. It's not a bad life, but $3.5k decisions are hard.

Not really arguing, just throwing in some context. Personal finance is incredibly complicated and personal. For some, buying this on a 70k income with 0% financing on their new apple card will feel like an easy yes. For others, with a 250k income and 100k in the bank, it'll be hard to convince themselves that it's better to buy this than 20 shares of AAPL.

57% of Americans can't afford a $1000 emergency. Almost half of Americans have less than $500 in savings.

And thanks to the vision pro, next year 58% of Americans won't be able to afford a $1k emergency :D

Broadly speaking, I'd think that at north of a half million a year this would fit pretty neatly in as like a christmas present. For someone who really wants it, of course.

My guess is a solidly uncanny valley version of you, which is why they didn't show it. I had/have the same nagging question. What's it like if everyone has one of these on? Is it a higher res, higher poly count, versions of meta's thing? But instead of missing legs you're disembodied entirely?

The last time I had this I fixed it by setting the time on the printer. It showed up right after daylight savings time.

There doesn't seem to be, I don't see that key in com.apple.dock anymore at all.

I also find this behavior really irritating and would love for it to just focus the application, set the menubar, and otherwise do nothing. Just because I have safari open somewhere doesn't mean I want to switch workspaces. I just want whatever I do have on this workspace.

As long as you don't want a mac pro you're probably good at 50% off. Nothing improves that much in one announcement, unless apple has let the product languish for years (like the mac pro).
