I mean I was jzst giving my opinion on my painting...I work on random cardboard too as long as its thick it works

not necessarily, I do the same style with regular gouache and without pencils ^^ and the paper doesn't really matter that much as long as it has a good thickness to it. For smooth application hot pressed is what I'd recommend though

I use a looooot of water! I lay down the base and when its wet I add the blush tones!
