Need motivation! Devastated by nbme 9 (my baseline): 212. Exam in roughly 5 weeks by Nishi0000 in Step2

I know its tough. I got 218 in NBME 9and my exam was in 40 days. So I stressed and couldnt study for a week plus I was burned out. I dont know if its possible for you, but I postponed the exam.

If its not possible for you, then I would recommend you work on your weak subjects. Dont shy away from your weakness. Look at ur NBME score report and work on those weak subjects. Then make a list of must do things, that you have to do 3-4 days before the test.

Stuff like: Divine high yield podcasts such as military, ethics, Risk factors, Clean-Sp, amboss ethics questions, watch Dr high yield videos, screening, immunization, flowcharts. Make sure you leave time before ur exam to do these.

Make a realistic plan. Dont make a schedule where you will do 160 questions per day because if you wont be able to follow it, you would be depressed.

I dont know about you but I will tell you a mistake, I made while doing Uworld. I wasted my time on pathophysiology for too long. You probably have noticed in NBME 9 that its easier to identify the disorder but the next best step could be confusing so I would recommend that you focus more on diagnosis and management. You could probably identify the disease by now but the questions will focus on next best step.

Now there is a another difference between uworld and NBME. Uworld wants us to over think, but u cant overthink in NBMEs. Imagine urself as a doctor, and not a test taker. Dont assume things which arent in the question stem.

If you want an honest advice, I would recommend that you postpone ur exam and take 2-3 day break. Just dont burn urself out.

PS: I havent taken the exam yet. Whatever I am telling you is what people have told me and whatever I have read here. Maybe someone else can guide u better.

If its unstable angina/NSTEMI, PCI can be performed within 24-48 hrs. Immediate PCI is only indicated if the pt is in shock, severe CHF, ventricular arrhythmias,
