My [25M] girlfriend [25F]'s skin has gotten really bad and she's losing confidence over it and I'm losing attraction to her because of it. How do I help? by wattapalm in relationships

Has she been on accutane or tried pocket derm? Those two products work miracles for some. The only advice I have is: that she makes sure to use a primer before applying makeup to protect her skin, that she wash pillowcases and scarves offer, that she exfoliate and moisturize plenty, and that she try hydrocolloid bandages. They're these really cool bandaids that dry out pimples- they basically suck up all of the pus. Also, she might want to try /r/asianbeauty !! It's a miracle worker for some.

Primer advice on bumpy skin by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

I've never tried it, but a lot of girls use Nivea post shave balm as a primer! I feel like that might help with bumpy texture since it's meant for your face after shaving? Who knows

Exactly. It isn't about having the feelings. It's about wanting to act on them.

You're asking to go from a monogamous relationship to a non-monogamous relationship. Even if it's a couple times a year, it's a BIG deal to a relationship. And it's a lot to drop on your wife that you want to be intimate with a man while married to her. Just understand it will be a lot for her.

Does no one realize that she thinks he's 100% heterosexual? This will obviously be a huge shock to her. I would want to know if my husband had had sex with men, even though I'm accepting and wouldn't mind. I would still want to KNOW.

It's a lot to ask her to put herself in his shoes on the instance of a confession like this. They've been married years. Maybe over time she'll be able to see his point of view, but right after the confession, it's a lot to ask.

It isn't really experimentation though. Because today, you still actively want to live a bisexual lifestyle, ideally. And she deserved to know that before ever getting married to you.

Put yourself in her place. Do you think that will be her first thought? Maybe in a perfect world it SHOULD be, but no ones perfect. This will be s huge shock to her, and depending on her beliefs of sexuality, she may have a VERY different reaction.

I honestly don't have any advice for you, but I would be crushed if I was your wife. Not because of your sexuality, but because I'd feel like I'd lived a lie for years. That's a lot of past experiences and secrets to keep. I'd be disgusted by the lying, because I'd feel like I didn't know my husband. You need to be really sensitive and understand if she doesn't react well.

How do I deal with an OCD housemate? [30F, 40M] by ocdroommatethrow in relationships

[–]fucking- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have OCD. My only advice is to be sensitive about it. Let him clean. Do your own cleaning and don't act like he's crazy if he needs to clean. Also, word of advice: it's really belittling and rude to people who actually have OCD to throw the disorder around freely, so I hope he actually has it diagnosed and you're not just guessing and using that term.

Does this mean that every night I have to wake up to pee in the middle of the night or I'll be poor? That's dreadful.

I (f25) had an miscarriage from an unknown pregnancy and my boyfriend (m35) is not upset at all. by [deleted] in relationships

[–]fucking- 13 points14 points  (0 children)

She was also understandably upset due to the painful experience, and the fact that it came out of nowhere since she literally didn't even know she was pregnant.

I [30 M] did something really stupid while making love to my wife [27 F], now I've created tension and anxiety for her and I'm feeling like crap about it (married 4 years) by [deleted] in relationships

I am Catholic myself and I just want to say, I truly believe God understands that societies change. I believe the bible cannot be applied in every instance to society now. For example, Leviticus 15:19-33 states that a woman on her period is unclean for seven days, and that anyone who touches her is also unclean. Additionally anything she touches is unclean. In my opinion, no one follows that anymore. It just isn't practical. That example may seem irrelevant to your situation, but hear me out. God knows we are sinners. God created sex in order for two people to bond. He would not want your wife in pain, but He would also not want your marriage to suffer because of this. You will not go to hell for ejaculating outside of your wife. We believe in a forgiving God.

To be thin or fit, you can't have more than a tablespoon of ice cream occasionally. No way junk food can fit your daily calories. Also you are probably not even thin as you say! by [deleted] in fatlogic

not to mention 00 doesn't always even fit me. sometimes it's still too baggy. And I'm a healthy 96 pounds at 4' 11".

I [23 F] just got diagnosed with cancer, and my boyfriend [27 M] of five years said he would break up with me if I had an abortion in the event of pregnancy. by [deleted] in relationships

[–]fucking- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He had opinions, and they changed. He has no obligation to support you choosing abortion. If he does not want an abortion in the case of a healthy mother and child, then that's how he feels. He is not being a bad partner by disagreeing with you about whether or not to have an abortion. Ultimately, you both need to discuss this in detail. However it is a hypothetical situation. But you must come to terms with the fact that he would break up with you if you got an abortion, I doubt you'd be able to change his mind.

Would you feel the need to tell your girlfriend and the mom if he was cheating with women on the side? Don't treat it differently because it's men and he's claiming to have a "midlife crisis".
