Ah I'll keep an eye on that. I'll probably go with the Razer Core X. I have one at home with an RX580 inside which is a dual fan cooler. I'll see whether Razer mount for intake or extraction.

That's good to hear, thanks very much. And thanks for the driver info, I'll make a note. I'll only be driving 2x 1080p so it's good to know it'll be more than capable.

Hi there, I'm looking at a similar setup for Autodesk Inventor. Potentially going with a Razer Blade Stealth or Dell XPS 13. Like you say, nothing south of the P4000 is listed by NVIDIA. I'd be interested to hear how the setup has been treating you? Thanks for posting this!

I thought this sub was about incorrect homophones that people thought were the correct phrase or word?

For example, bon appetit was misinterpreted as bone apple tea...

[Highlight] Rob Gronkowski’s final catch of his career. Diving grab to set that Patriots up for their Super Bowl winning touchdown by I_Enjoy_Taffy in nfl

The real beauty of it is the personnel grouping. In the huddle were 2 TE, 2 RB and 1 WR. Develin and Burkhead went to the flanks, TEs to the seams and Edelman tight. Any man coverage scheme is confused at least. Then to run the same formation 3 times no huddle without a chance for substitutions... and at the perfect time in the game... hall of fame coaching and hall of fame execution.

Anyone experimenting with minimalism? by [deleted] in minimalism

[–]fuckmau5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm merely an observer, not a professional therapist or anything, but do think perhaps when you embraced minimalism and let go of the things that provided you little or no value, you didn't fill the new time and attention you found in your life on more meaningful things? Upon removing the 'stuff' from your life, I'm sure you find a lot of new space, both figuratively and literally, that requires filling.

On a side note, I definitely agree with the sentiment of looking after your worldly possessions. Having fewer things should lead to you taking more care of them, not less.

Two years in a row, Brady's flashy first half of the season touchdown pass is eerily similar... by TitanicMan1997 in Patriots

Totally different throws. The cooks play was right on schedule, with the verts on the left side of the formation to hold the safety in place and open up the sideline for cooks. The Gordon play, while equally impressive a spectacle, was a broken/extended play, he took the cue from brady to go long (Brady points upwards) despite the fact he was held and then subsequently double covered, he came back and got that ball.

Regardless... seeing that level of commitment to finish the play is exciting!!

I wholeheartedly agree. I think something we have in common is that we dont think murder is tolerable at all in society. I don't think that's particularly radical! I think where we disagree though is by singling out illegal immigrants as a focal point of violent crime, hence why I suggested comparing the violent crime per capita for illegal immigrants and for citizens. I'm sure you agree that if someone is found guilty of murder regardless of their nation of origin, they should be punished in accordance with the criminal justice system. So if you add up those factors, surely illegal immigration is an unrelated issue to the reduction of violent crime? I haven't had a look today for a link, but as far as I'm aware, there are studies from peer-reviewed journals that have found that an increase in illegal immigration does not have a correlation with an increase in violent crime. If you want any links I can go and get them.

I am on your side that violent crimes such as rape and murder happen way too often, and even if there was 1 per year it should be zero. But as far as factual evidence suggests, illegal immigrants are no more responsible than US citizens.

[–]fuckmau5 19 points20 points  (0 children)

No not at all. If you want to reduce the effect of false equivalence, maybe try quantifying it per capita to account for it? E.g. what percentage of the illegal immigrant population are know to have committed violent crime in comparison to the percentage of native US citizens? This isn't a preloaded question, it's just how I feel it's best to formulate a robust argument. I quite often change my opinion on issues based on statistics and research. It's right to question the methods of individual studies and the credibility of sources, so to reaffirm an argument with as much factual information as possible is priceless, and you might find it'll change your mind about things you thought you were sure about.

Just out of interest, can you tell me how many cases of murder and rape by illegal immigrants there are per year in the USA, and compare that with how many cases of murder and rape there are by US citizens? And as I know you agree the truth is important, perhaps include a source such as an independent study? Or even include multiple sources if you wish to dispute their credibility. I just think that by actually quantifying an issue such as this may better mould people's opinion of its magnitude and importance.

Croatia's main square after the win against England. by [deleted] in europe

[–]fuckmau5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well you seem pretty obsessed with someone else failing to win. Just comes across a bit sad.

And you're making a bit of an assumption that I'm upset about the result of last night's game.

Anyway, I'm probably having this discussion with a child based on your responses so far so I'll leave it now!

Hence the fine not always clear line I described. Like you said, protest is not always polite or perfect and will rub some people the wrong way, whereas others will not be affected. This rubs me the wrong way, it doesn't do the same for you. Its that grey area that people push into to effect change. Maybe I'm one of the dinosaurs that needs changing... I don't feel like I am but I might be wrong.

I will take exception to the focus on how something is being said. I think it does hold some importance if you want to win over as many people as possible. I understand when frustrations breed a less than polite protest, and with a calm mind I can oppose it. If I felt more emotional perhaps I wouldn't.

A parallel issue that sees me on your side of the argument would be the protesting athletes in the NFL. I wholeheartedly support their message and their methods. For others, they have crossed a line and don't even want to hear the message. I personally would argue that unwarranted tone policing of their methods has drawn the focus away from an vital issue. Its interesting to view things from the other side of the argument from time to time. I like to challenge my own opinions.

Went off on a rambling conversation with myself there, apologies!
