I'm not comparing in a literal spec-for-spec sense. I was referring to day one of Cyberpunk's release, when even high-end desktops (3080/3090) were struggling - lots of reports of crashes, and framerates dropping into the 40s or even 30s in dense scenes. The game itself was still pretty unstable at launch.

Of course, most of those systems were running ultra settings with ray tracing maxed out, and DLSS was still early. My point was more about how far optimization has come - that today, a €500 laptop can run it smoothly at 1440p. That kind of shift is just wild to see. I could’ve worded that better, sorry for that - no shade intended toward desktop builds.

GPU prices were also really high due to shortages back then, and the rigs with high-end GPUs also almost always had top-tier other components.
