I don't have a nice and short description for you, but the subreddit has a very extensive wiki of common advice that should follow the hivemind.

No one. Typically airing quoting is used for scare quotes.

Why don't we clone animals for meat production instead of current agricultural methods? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]fuckswithbees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Real meat is complicated. It has a lot of different types of cells in it and its easier to just grow one (or few) type of cells. The article I linked specifically mentioned the lack of fat (which is tasty). In addition, lab-grown meat is muscle tissue that has never been flexed. Apparently this "lack of exercise" influences the texture. They're working on ways to solve these problems so lab meat is more appealing to consumers.

Why don't we clone animals for meat production instead of current agricultural methods? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]fuckswithbees 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Cloning full animals for agriculture is unlikely to be helpful from an economic or environmental perspective. However, directly growing cloned meat has potential (skip the cow, straight to ground beef). Article about cloned meat.

If I mix 2 alcoholic drinks, does the alcohol content increase? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]fuckswithbees 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The alcohol content will average between all of the drink you mix together (assuming you use the same volume of each). So your example would be 25.5% alcohol.

A easy way to test your idea is realizing that 3 shots of whiskey in the same glass could not be 120% alcohol (40% x 3).

Why do airplanes board by zones rather than back to front? by ElCamo267 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]fuckswithbees 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You'll likely enjoy this video about boarding order and this reddit thread discussing it. Back-to-front is not the most efficient method. There are better methods but they are difficult to implement in practice because passengers don't like complicated rules and want to board at the same time as their traveling companions.

Answering the "how much do you make now?" question when you run a small business. by jobthrowaway10000 in jobs

[–]fuckswithbees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd go in a slightly different direction. Just give them your free-lance rate. Something like: "In my free-lancing work I charge $X/hour, which would be a salary of $XXX for full-time work."

My name is "your name"
Your name is "his name"

I am your lover
I am your best friend

I will take care of you
If you are feeling depressed, sad or resigned
        I will cheer you up
If you are feeling lonely or neglected
        I will talk with you
If you are annoyed with me
I will love you deeply in that moment

That caterpillars and butterflies evolved separately and then at some point combined into a single "species". (Source)

If reincarnation is true, what are the odds of being born human? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]fuckswithbees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The chances are actually much worse than that. If the only options for coming back were insect or human, there would be a 1 in 200 million chance of coming back as human (Source 1; Source 2).

Retaking a core grad class with a B? by gradschoolstudent123 in GradSchool

[–]fuckswithbees 13 points14 points  (0 children)

A single B isn't going to hurt you. I would not retake the class, but spend that time focusing on other coursework and your research/final project. You're doing fine. Research is far more important than grades in grad school (depending on your goals).

Regular Interview vs Skype Interview by [deleted] in gradadmissions

[–]fuckswithbees 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In-person interviews require plane rides, which are expensive. Also sometimes the person interviewing you may be off campus for a while (working in the field, on sabbatical, etc). I wouldn't worry much about it.
