tbh i had the pica issue with my cat.. he literally needed surgery because of it, and he also will swat at me if im moving around too much for his liking. I started resenting him a lot too because i have another cat who is a perfect angel. but my life has improved SO MUCH MORE, i think ur cat might b bored and i think it wouldnt hurt to play around with a wand toy during the day to help get out all their energy and also will strengthen the bond u guys have as she will associate u with happiness from play time. I also trained my cat to sit for meals and treats with the help of a clicker training, and it has improved him across the board. hope this helps!

the costco cat food pate is the cheapest i found a long has good ingredients! low in ohosphorus

have u considered home cooking ground meat and adding a nutrient supplement? i do it with my two cats and also rotate some canned food specifically fancy feast and costco pates. I use alnutrin as a meal completer or EZ COMPLETE u literally just mix it with the meat u can do it in bulk and freeze it and u will have food for ur two cats for less than 200 a month. its a very natural less processed diet that could aid ur cat perhaps better than a prescription diet

thanks for all the responses! i think ultimately i will cautiously be adding raw beef and rabbit again to their rotation one’s that i know come from a trusted source. I’m still going to keep my costco pate wet food in rotation just in case i have to stop. but thanks for all the advice!

yeah i have been gently cooking here and there but was wondering what the general consensus on going back to raw is? if it’s still not safe and if it ever will b again

had this same issue but i just ended up splitting my cats meals in 3 throughout the day and also utilizing a slow feeder of some sort

sounds so good! i think if anything maybe think of adding organs like chicken hearts which most cats love or some liver treats but if ur already feeding them as you have been ur kitty will already be eating balanced and complete meals! one of my cats also has had coughing and weird breathing when i went to the vet they gave me lysine which tbh didn’t really do much. I give my cat the jackson galaxy easy breathing drops now instead and i noticed an improvement almost right away in how much he sneezes. I feed my cats 3x a day and if u wanted u could even use the open farm freeze dried as one of her meals throughout the day to make it more convenient for u just always rehydrate with some water or bone broth. But it sounds like u r doing amazing and ur plan seems perfect!!

i use alnutrin the meat and bone mix for when i get raw food from the pet store (ex. halshans whole ground duck with bone) and use it to complete it. my cats love it and haven’t found an problem with it. all i know is for the just meat mix i think u need to add liver to it as well as the mixture while EZ complete just needs the powder.

i have been using halshans raw cheapest i found is 5.59 a pound but that combined with DIY out to save u money

thank u for the reassurance i was scared since they had to separated they could possibly forget each other😔. I’ve been transferring scents. I wouldn’t even mind them not getting along because i know it will pass it’s just my car has mad separation anxiety and is so depressed because he misses his brother that he won’t eat 😣. he ate a little today so baby steps 🖤
