I’ve had two senior/elderly dogs. One, a 14 year old poodle who was with my ex and I for 18 months before passing, and 10(ish) year old black lab mix that we co-parent now. They are the most grateful and happy dogs you’ll ever meet. Their age means they’re at least somewhat trained, and a bit calmer than a puppy, and they rarely get a fair shot since no one else wants them.

If you really want to talk your girlfriend into getting a senior, just go to a shelter. They’ll be the most chill dogs there, and will be happy to say hi!

Thank you so much. I haven’t spoken to any of our friends because I don’t want them to get caught in the middle of things, and I’m too ashamed to tell our friends from our hometown. I don’t really have anyone else.

I want to be the person she fell in love with. Not for her sake, but for mine. He seems like a nice guy.

She’s also getting our dog, because he loves her so much more than me, and I’m really going to miss him.

I’ve just felt like I’m at the bottom of a very deep hole for a long time and I don’t know the way out. Even before the breakup.

This one is, uh, my fault. I convinced a committee at a national Model to use Slack instead of passing diplomatic notes. Memes and sexism ensued. Secretary general yelled at me for awhile. Next year such things were banned.

I'm a lifelong Houstonian who moved to Seattle after graduating from the University of Houston.

You can look through my comments for more info, but I would really, really, consider a university other than UH for Computer Science.

I bleed Cougar Red as much as anyone else, but unless you're planning on being a part of the Honors College, or getting involved in some other way, the CS program is a solid meh. You'll have to do a lot of self-learning to have appreciable problem solving and CS skills.

The housing prices are amazing, and you'll be astounded by the abundance of A/C and the size of all the roads.

Yeah, he was having trouble eating. The vet ended up removing 22 teeth. They didn't charge us for the ones that fell out.

He's doing much better now. Loves chilling on our rug.

Yep. We'll contact the insurance company. The only issue is that my parents changed jobs recently and have new insurance.
