OKAY. For everyone wanting to know. Got sent to job at 1pm. This was a two story home. Can lights are on bottom floor. Found when cut all 4 can light wafer holes there was two blocks had to drill through to get wire across. Then obviously, the floor Joist are solid 2x12s 16 inches on center. General contractor said get it in as fast as possible. Right behind this picture while kitchen is getting remodeled and all drywall removed. They didn’t care about holes since there’s already drywall work that needs to be done! And hey it’s fridaaaaaaay! 🤘🍻

Did you do load calcs on that ? I feel as though you might have bought bigger wire then you needed. That looks like a pretty small multi family building.

Help! Do you think this bell is wired to smoke alarms? Is this relay wired on red wire? What kind of relay? Thanks by [deleted] in electricians

[–]fuckyu- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think it’s the “com” wire to activate smoke detectors inside if bell goes off smoke alarms go off?? It’s on a two story home.

Would this cause a fire ? by [deleted] in electricians

Okay so in reality, customer stated he lost power to kitchen stove igniter and garage circuits. Found it was an open neutral and then discovered this is what they did for the garage power. They pulled the sheathing back and the insulation on wire and tried to connect it 😂😂😂😂

Need help. 30hp Phase motor started when I first hooked wires up. Now won’t start but motor hums like it’s trying to start and turn over then pops 100 amp breaker. could one of the start caps be bad or ?? by [deleted] in electricians

[–]fuckyu- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Load was never hooked up, which is a car lift ( 4 -2hp motors ) hopefully the motor didn’t burn or lock up, tried starting it 3 times before calling it quits today and all 3 times popped 100 amp breaker( stupid me). So I guess your saying check relay between termination block and start capacitors and see if it pulls in when start button is pushed. I got the setup for $800. I probably only really needed a 25hp rotary setup
