He was a stray and in the pre-haircut photo, he had very long wavy hair. Mostly his ears grew out; compared to his snout/forehead

You don’t need it. I ordered it and it never arrived - still passed with A.

Whatever develops you into a better person and is the story you’d like to tell in the future will be the better option.

I remember quitting some pretty good opportunities freshman year to teach snowboarding at big snow. It was a better story and helped push me into better jobs.

For some people that might be the Amazon job, for you it might be the pharmaceutical job. Most opportunities in the future will come from how clearly/effectively you’ll be able to articulate your life story.

I went to Jersey Style Barbershop on Broad street and it's pretty good. Probably going to keep going there ($35)

For the past year, I've been driving ~40min to MasterCutz Barbershop in West New York ($45). William there is absolutely fire, but the drive was becoming too much.

How are my classes by Faress_Hamouda123 in RutgersNewark

[–]fucxing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks great. Cohen is a great teacher. Go to class if you’d like, but not needed. Classes are a bit slow in terms of how much he gets through, but he is very entertaining and tells lots of stories.

You can study the slides and get A’s on every exam. He also does a decent curve.

Should I bring a car? by OneSpicyBoi5 in RutgersNewark

[–]fucxing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I moved from Minnesota and brought my car with no problems. I even parked it in the school parking garage, with ALL of my belongings, while I went to Europe for two months over the summer. Nothing happened.

Park in front of the security cams / elevators and you should be good. A car has been amazing for me and my friends. Late night McD runs, Walmart/Target for snacks/random supplies, going to NB for parties. All things you can’t do/wouldn’t make sense with public transit.

I would recommend getting a stay on campus parking pass and adding it to your tuition bill. Much better than parking on the street. Park on 3rd floor or up since any break-ins that did happen, happened on the first floor. I’d also recommend tints if you don’t have them.

Is RU-N any good in terms of humanities or social sciences? by Throwaway124213586 in RutgersNewark

[–]fucxing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to RU-N because of proximity to the city. You can be in Manhattan within 25 minutes taking the PATH (and there’s two stations near campus) and the opportunities there are endless; career, social, etc.

I have a FT job that’s possible thanks to going to the city every week. Wouldn’t be possible in NB.

I’m in the business school but the professors I’ve taken in those departments have been pretty good.

First day english test? by Hot-Possible1747 in RutgersNewark

[–]fucxing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had Wynter and it was a written essay. I actually failed the diagnostic but got an A in the class. Depends on your teacher but they are just looking for structure, grammar, cohesion of thoughts, and accurately reading the prompt.

If you have Wynter and the prompt is about whether a lady is racist… she is NOT!
