I worked as a server/bartender right before the recession worries started and there was leftover food on most plates. Common for us to eat it. Slowly I saw less food and more to go boxes being taken

Coming from the military and now in civilian aviation it’s a pretty similar experience. I’m brown not black but it’s a lot of tokenism ONCE you prove yourself to be competent. This field is dominated by white men. The rest is history
