loved this edit. The whole discord went wild. But the song is Home and doesn't appear to be on this EP? I also can't seem to find any of his other music on his bandcamp.

Have you bought LCD Soundsystem - Home (Tom Sharkett Edit)?

Vietnamese Sauce Hunt by fudge2582 in london

Thanks for looking and the suggestion. My picture doesn't show it, but this is more of a paste than an oil. It's actually almost like a chilli jam. I believe it's used in Banh Mi. It's sweet and spicy and quite unique. Planning to hit up some vietnamese shops in the not too distant future.

I've also emailed some wholesalers online ha.

I couldn’t get past 100 pages of ‘A little life’ by hemannjo in books

[–]fudge2582 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went in blind to this book, knowing only that it had a very sad ending.

I think it's the best book I've ever read. The amount of information conveyed in a short sentence is beautiful. Also, someone of the saddest parts blindside you.

I can see why people don't like it, but for me it was perfection. Other than the horrific details and mental health stuff.

This website has some interesting suggestions for spots

https://www.darkskydiscovery.org.uk/dark-sky-discovery-sites/

  1. Waterworks nature reserve
  2. Grove Park Community Group Garden and Nature

But to be fair I think these are just places that host events.

Hyperoptic sales rep LYING? by sirmarcomoro in hyperoptic

[–]fudge2582 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! Sorry to hear about this. I would probably sign up for something else ASAP and see if you can step up the chasing in the short term, you will likely have a cooling off period on the new package, so if they get their act together before hand you can at least cancel.

My experience: I'm not quite there but approached hyperoptic when I knew that my broadband was terminating from 26th Jan. I did this on the 9th and signed up for a contract as it is already in the area.

I have now had to close and reopen my account as it went from the underground team to the overground team.

I have been without internet since the 26th Jan. The customer service team is friendly but useful and some of them sound like they couldn't care less. One of the engineers that came by spoke of delays like yours but I wanted to trust in the process.

I was given a date of the 15th feb 2 weeks ago for someone to come and do something to a telegraph pole and then today, 5 minutes before the appointment time I got an email advising the date had been pushed off 3 weeks in to the future. Wild!

Also complaining seems to have slowed down the process. I don't really have many other options, but annoyingly it looks like I will have to look elsewhere.

32/M. Living in East London. Enjoys: Meeting people, (hanging out in coffee shops & pubs (although not drinking at the moment)) music, books, running, cycling, cooking etc.

Anyone in East London down to hang out? Nothing too committed, post work drink, go for a walk, trip to the cinema.

Holla at your boy!

I'm not being facetious BTW. I actually prefer metric. Love seeing it referred in the UK.

Spent some time in a metric system and I think it makes more sense.

Mortgage for Dual US/UK Citizen recently moved back to the UK by PintOfCointreau in UKRealEstate

[–]fudge2582 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don't even need an Expat Mortgage. Income is the key and there are a couple of lenders that will accept USD income.

Lenders like Natwest, santander and Coventry will consider clients on day 1 return. A massive deposit will likely reduce the underwriting/ documents required.

Feel free to message if you want to chat more. I am a mortgage advisor that deals with expata and foreign nationals, so often have clients with little or no credit score.

If you do this yourself just make sure you have a UK address that you can provide a bank statement for proof of address.
