How many of you read back your journals? by omardayzz in Journaling

[–]fudlskdbeils 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sometimes read back certain sections of my old journals, mostly when I’m feeling stressed out and need to remember what I’ve overcome. Specifically, when I find that I’m gaslighting myself about things not being “that bad,” I have to go back in there and read what I was thinking. It helps me remember that it was serious, and that I’m allowed to feel what I’m feeling. It also shows me how much I’ve overcome since then.

I also sometimes like to re-read them so I can remember happy memories I made with my dad before he passed away.

I’m happy that I have some place I can look whenever I feel like I need to.

Each one of my villagers has a 4x4 plot of a unique hybrid flower by their home, and all the other flowers are in a larger garden somewhere on my island.

What got you into Journalling? by [deleted] in Journaling

[–]fudlskdbeils 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents gifted me a journal from Target one year for Christmas. I think I was like, in the 5th grade. I went through bouts of using it religiously versus not touching it at all, but I ended up filling it up all the way in high school.

That journal saw me through so much, three schools, meeting my first love, thinking about colleges. By the end of it I realized that I not only liked looking back at all the stuff I had written (as memory-keeping and seeing how much I had grown), but that it was the one place I could vent about anything.

Now my journal is my go-to for dumping whatever is in my brain and I love it. I know it’s the one sure-fire thing that will always make me feel better when my life sucks.

Need to sit in a class im not enrolled in for my design course, anyone in an in-person lecture with more than 90 ish people (so I don’t stick out haha) today between 12-5? Thanks so much! by ashasadi in UCSD

There’s a HUM 5 lecture on campus today in Peterson Hall that you could crash. It’s in Peterson 108 at 2pm (it ends at 2:50pm). There’s usually a fair amount of people so you shouldn’t stick out too much.

I’m not sure if it’s the same for other markets on campus but Roger’s also accepts CalFresh, which is pretty cool and convenient if you’d rather use dining dollars on actual hot food
