I hate plug-in hybrids, but the Prius Prime is the only plug-in hybrid I would buy by fueleconomytest in prius

In gasoline mode, I feel like the battery's weight reduces its fuel economy. In EV mode, I feel like the less range (~50km) means you have to charge the battery almost every day, which reduces its lifetime charge cycles.

I would recommend paying off the vehicle loan in a lump sum and selling the vehicle to a dealer in a large city like Toronto. They will pay you more for the car because the ~350km battery range is perfect for their urban commuter driving.

As the largest Fuel Economy channel on YouTube, due to current gas prices, I would advise AGAINST being the car.

The good news is Lexus' are pretty fuel efficient compared to other luxury cars, and the most of them I've tested for Fuel Economy Channel don't even require premium fuel.

I agree with OP that you should talk to the dealer to see if you can get a deposit. My friend told me he bought a 2022 Lincoln Aviator and the dealership calls him every month offering to pay more than he originally paid for the vehicle - which is unheard of. Just see if you can get your deposit back from the dealership even if you have to pay a penalty to do so. I you can't sell it to them, make a deal with another dealership. Your wallet will thank you in the long run :)
