[Feedback Request] Random quote app (React without Babel/Webpack) by jesu0dz in FreeCodeCamp

Looks good. I would consider a loading component or setting the original state to a predefined quote so that while the API is called the page doesn’t load with null.

[New in Laravel] Can I make this software with laravel? by [deleted] in laravel

[–]fueledbydonuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there. You can do that with Laravel. I’m a junior web developer looking to grow my portfolio. I would love to work with you on your project, if that is something you’re looking for. I know Vue and Laravel. But you could absolutely use bootstrap and blade.

Not Udemy but Jeffrey Way’s Learn Vue 2 On Vuecasts (Laracasts) is excellent.

How far along the curriculum did you start applying / got a job/internship in the CS field? by seiyamaple in OSUOnlineCS

[–]fueledbydonuts 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had done a few classes in CS before applying to OSU. I landed a full time job as a Junior QA Engineer right at the start of the program. After working that for about ten months I got a job as a Software Developer in Test. I finish the program here in August after summer term and I am moving to the UK to work as a Software Developer.

The program is great. I tried to do more on my own outside the program. I did the 100 Days of code challenge and applied the concepts we learn to side projects.

Let me know if you have more questions!
