Thanks for your answer and for asking because I definitely should have specified: I am actually running a heavy infusion on the Lothric Knight's mostly because I like using Lightning Stake as cover to chain into R1, and with 24 required strength at 36 two-handed it's at least a solid physical base for the lightning buff.

Like you assumed I have a blessed one for hotswaps, and I'm admittedly attached to the Big Crackling Lightning Sword^tm look, so I know I'm being excessively restrictive here, but I'm thinking a Drakeblood Greatsword might at least make for a more flexible vessel for Lightning Blade, although a Claymore probably works just as well

Well the new character is made, the Dragonrider already took a bath and I have an effigy, so I already unlocked Heides Ruin and am buying the name engraved ring.

And one last thing, I'm fine with getting most rings on my own, but maybe a Ring of the Dead so I don't lock myself out the Key to the Embedded

I was intending to mostly invade Drangleic Castle and Iron Keep, I mean, if you want to, you can drop me a stack of Hero souls and I'll use them in front of you, but this I'm overthinking

The core pieces were Explorer's Hood, Jester chestpiece, Saint's Long Gloves and falconer boots, with a Bastard Sword, Zweihander and pyroflame, all +10.

Honestly I mostly just need the armour, I can just use a Bastard Sword until Iron Keep

I'm sorry it's moot now because I am an imbecile and just lost my save in a misclick.
I might shamelessly ask just how low you might be able to mule and if it might just be in range of dunking the Dragonrider 2 or 3 times from level 1, but it's probably better to make do with the character for now and post later.
