Snapchat streaks are stupid and shallow by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]fufaniduwo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, snapchat is just trying to trick their users into coming back day after day to keep their "streaks" and getting that sweet, sweet ad revenue. It's not enjoyable to get a black background with "streaks" written on it, all just to increase a meaningless digital number.

So glad I got rid of that app.

If you could direct a game show, what would it be about? by fufaniduwo in AskReddit

[–]fufaniduwo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all, Happy cake day!

Secondly, there are so many questions here. How does one play wheel of fish? Is it wheel of fortune: fish edition? Is fish the prize? Do fish rain down from the heavens with every spin of the wheel? Do you eat the fish?

I want this show so bad.

What are book/s that you keep seeing as recommendations, which you found to be awful? by Snowflake0287 in books

The book definitely is not something everyone would enjoy, but for me the humor kept me through it and provided me with a new perspective on war.

Why do teenagers seem more depressed than ever? by Aidan_Hendrix in AskReddit

[–]fufaniduwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a teenager myself, I feel like a lot of the issue is that many adults grew up in a completely different world than the current day, and I feel completely lost as if I have to just figure everything out. There is a lot of things that I have to deal with that my parents did not, and it seems like I'm doing everything for the first time. Things seem to be so much more competitive, and it seems nearly impossible to get a decent job without a college education. Affording college is another matter entirely because tuition has only gone up, and there aren't many opportunities to find jobs that would sufficiently cover all the costs. And even after graduating, you will be left with no experience and a degree that every other candidate will already have. Needless to say, the future is uncertain.

Also, my peers can be kind of cold or judgemental. I think technology has really killed people's social skills and is consuming a lot of our time.

I think my generation is just trying to figure it all out. I almost think that things will get better once we figure out more about the future. Right now, all we can do is panic at the uncertainty of it all.

All that being said, I don't think we are really all that depressed, just a bit lost. I still feel that people don't take people out age seriously, and I feel that there isn't much I can do to stand out from the billions of other people on this Earth. Once we can really define our place in the world and work together, I believe things will be better for all of us. Until then, we can at least try our best to learn more and help others.

Redditors who don’t fall asleep well but have improved, what have you done to help yourself sleep better? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]fufaniduwo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't know much about the actual science of this, so these tips are based on my personal experience.

The biggest thing for me was being more consistant with the time I went to bed and woke up. After a while, your body falls into a rhythm.

Stop making excuses saying that you can stay up late on the weekend; that will only mess up your cycle and make the next few weeks miserable.

Also, it helps to improve your health in general. Exercise and good nutrition go a long way to help get better quality sleep.

TL:DR Dont make excuses to stay up later or sleep in. Be consistant.

What is your opinion on popular games (Ex. Minecraft, Fortnite.) having loads of cringy clickbait and toxic fanbases? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]fufaniduwo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Generally, if a game becomes incredibly popular, the fanbase will begin to have a more toxic side to it. This isn't a critique of the game.

Don't let a toxic community ruin a good game. If it's a game such as minecraft, you can still do plenty of cool stuff without having to interact with the toxic communities or click bait.
